Missing David 8 from ALIEN : Prometheus, and Covenant ?

In the direct aftermath of the Prometheus’ expedition on LV-223. Dr. Elizabeth Shaw has survived the mission’s catastrophic failure, and is now learning how to single-handedly crew the derelict Engineer spacecraft she’s piloting. 

Miraculously, she’s also learning how to reassemble a David 8 synthetic using the alien spacecraft’s advanced technology.
