—There was no way he could handle this.

You, quietly sitting on the bed with your back to him (currently sulking because the asshole didn't take his meds again), hugging your pillow tightly and resting your chin on the top of it, with your cheeks all puffed out like little buns and your hair spilled all over your face.

You looked nowhere close to being angry. And it wasn't helping his current predicament.

You felt the mattress dip beneath someone's weight, barely having time to react when you felt yourself being enclosed in his comforting embrace—except it was squeezing the life out of you.

"What- LUKA!"

You felt his cheek desperately rubbing against yours, attacking them with quick pecks and slow kisses. You weren't even given the chance to protest when he sneakily caged you in between his legs with his hands enclosing you against his chest.

With great difficulty, you managed to gently push his face away a little and catch your breath before turning to look at him.

"What are you—"

"I can't- I'm sorry, I really can't."

He buried his face in the curve of your neck, occasionally reaching up to peck your cheek lightly with his hands gently caressing your sides. His fingers reached out to intertwine with yours from behind, caressing the smooth skin there.

"I can't stay away from you, sweetheart. I can't just sit in the corner of the room and watch you sulk. Not when you're all alone with no one to comfort you.." He gently cupped your face with his free hand, tilting it up to press a kiss against your cheek, taking the back of your hand and pressing it to his mouth.

Your eyes softened at his quiet words, feeling terribly bad for being an immature bitch and leaving him alone to himself. You turned and gently cupped his face, looking into those sad, yellow eyes.

"Luka— EEK!"

You squealed when he leaned forward to press his lips against your cheek again— but this time.. he was chewing it (not with his teeth)

Sigh.. there's no use in forcing him away, so you decided to live with it.

—Quietly feeling up the silky softness of the blondes hair, you slowly look at his face, noting the gentle slope of his nose, the soft thickness of his blonde eyelashes, and the relaxed curve of his lips while he rested against your chest, face pressed comfortably against your breast like a pillow.

You smile, feeling the quiet hum of the central air conditioning fill the room, transporting you both into a space where only him and you existed, all tucked away and safe in each other's arms.

Until your eyes drop to his fingers, splayed against your stomach, cold and freezing.

You couldn't help but notice how the striking purple colour was brightening up day by day, week by week, month by month. His heart condition was worsening from all the stress he had to take from the constant performances, struggle to survive, photoshoots, rehearsals and the like. His asthma attacks were in abundance nowadays, arriving even at the most random times when he wasn't even doing anything at all.

It was only today you somehow begged his alien guardian to let him at least close his eyes for once. (it was basically war that you fought)

But Luka notices your gaze. He always did.

The way you used to intently look at him, his hands, with something akin to pity, concern.

Couldn't he be a normal human? Couldn't he be like you? With normal hands and a more saturated skin? Why did he have to have this minute flaw that kept on bothering him day by day?

Luka wasn't an insecure person. But your presence brought back things he should never have thought of. The constant need to make himself perfect, even in front of you despite you being someone he should confide in, someone he could show his flaws to. It was built inside of him. A machine that only knew how to look perfect and not embrace its flaws.

You watched as his hands curled immediately and tucked itself under his sleeves.

"That's not something you should focus on. I've told you countless times and this is the last time."

He didn't mean to sound like that. But your gaze did things to him. He was tired of everyone's gaze, and he didn't want you to prove yourself to be just like the others at the end.

Lies were easier to live with than the truth.

You blinked as your gaze flickered to his face, which now had a crease between his eyebrows. A sign of irritation and insecurity. You felt him shift a little, away from you so you didn't see his expression or hands.

This boy.. sigh

His eyes shot open when he felt warm palms gently cradling his face. His eyes flickered to meet your e/c coloured ones, which were gazing down art him.

"Come here, Luka."

He blinked, swallowing, before closing the small distance between you both, draping himself over you.

"If you're gonna lecture me on how moody I am nowadays I'm not liste—"

He paused when he felt your fingers gently interlace with his, watching as you slowly brought the purple tips close to your mouth and gently brush your lips over each of them, one by one, being careful enough to not startle him.

When you were done, you glanced at him from the side, a tiny cheeky little smile on your face.

"Do you hate them now? Hmmm?"

That caused him to break.

A pretty crimson dusted over his cheeks in a blush, blossoming in the most beautiful way possible. His immediate reaction was to hide his face in whatever he found closer to him. Luka found it hard to deal with strong emotions, so whenever he faced them, he'd either run or ignore you.

And that was absolutely adorable.

You were about to let out a warm chuckle but it immediately turned into a loud breathless laugh as his fingers found your waist and attacked it, tackling you to the mattress and making you laugh uncontrollably.

"LUKA- STO— AHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA"

"That's what you get for trying to make me flustered. You think it was that easy huh?"

(it was but oh well)

You finally got some kind of respite, letting out breathless chuckles before feeling a tiny peck against your flushed skin and someone flipping you over to tuck your head under their chin.

"Never do that again, you little minx."

"You needed it asshole."

You retaliated by pecking his jaw softly, which was met by another round of tickles and pecks (what did you expect from two lovestruck individuals that cannot exist without one another 😒)

— Cold fingers danced across your skin silently, brushing and caressing every injured area on the surface.

If you both were truly in your senses, then you would've realised how your hands caused pain on each other.

The soft sounds of water dripping from your body wasn't overlooked by him, the sound echoing throughout the cold air conditioned room. Your skin was frozen, stiff. You both were cold. In pain. The only thing that kept you both warm was each other's frigid touch.

After all those sick bastards did to the both of you.

You let out a soft whimper of pain when you felt his nose gently nuzzle against the metal branding imprinted on your collarbone, still trying to get used to it digging into your skin and almost breaking it. You retaliated back by brushing your soft fingertips over the branding on the side of his hip, the area still painfully sensitive causing the muscles to twitch slightly underneath the touch, forcing out a soft sound of discomfort from his dry lips.

Arms, legs, hands, body. Entangled together like messed up wires. Bare against each other with no sense of shame. It didn't matter honestly, when you were almost at the verge of death.

It didn't matter if it was with him.

Luka dipped his head into the valley of your breasts, like a young child seeking comfort in their mother's embrace. His fingertips proceeded to dig deep into your skin with the cold piercing through the layers. The pain was insignificant, the numbness overtaking the position instead. The silky, soft blonde locks brushed the underside of your chin, his breath fanning against the skin of your throat like a lover's caress.

You felt cold hands gently kneading and caressing your sides, trying to touch every inch of you. The action wasn't sexual. It was more of him trying to make sure you were really there. To restrain you from leaving like Hyuna did. The water on your skin acted like a lubricant for the movement of his hands, making it all the more painful and satisfying for you. Your digits slipped through his messy, wet locks, tugging against his scalp to elicit a pathetic sound from him and raise his head up. Glazed light yellow irises, now dimmed by the poor lighting, grazed your eyes. He looked almost vulnerable, untainted. Like he did nothing wrong. Like he didn't know what happened to him.

You felt him grab your wrists and drag your hands from his hair to his face in a slow motion, allowing you to feel the cold wetness of his cheek. There was desperation in his actions. He turned his head to press his lips against the inside of your palm, before gently forcing you to rub your hands against his face, the skin gliding over your palm in smooth but rough motions. You spotted the small rivulets of tears dripping down his cheeks from the pain his stitches caused, a sorry excuse of a smile gracing his lips as he looked at you.

It was almost as if he was making you feel guilty for loving him like this. For ruining him like this.

He kissed his way down your arm, mouthing at every inch of the cold damp skin he could find, making sure to drag his lips slowly down the soft skin of your forelimb. Tasting you. Savouring you. Using you. Wordlessly.

Luka.

He was the boy who once sat beside you quietly and listened to you ramble on. The boy who used to sit and draw pictures along with you. The quiet boy who would spend his time basking in the group conversations with Hyuna, you and Hyunwoo with his face resting on his cheek. The boy who stayed by your side at every step. The boy who clung to your figure whenever he felt unsafe or threatened. The boy who made a childish oath to protect you from the dangers of this planet.

The same boy who was currently worshipping your battered and scarred figure with his mouth and hands solely, his hand lifting your leg up from the back of your thigh, digging out parts of you you never knew existed.

You cupped his face from below and brought him closer, pressing your lips against his own and wiping away the stray tears escaping his eyes, before pulling him down to rest over you like a cold, comforting silk blanket, face pressed down on the juncture of your neck and shoulder.

You felt disgusted. Not because of him. But because of who you had become.

You could see the faintest hint of a pout on his expression while you wrapped the belt around his waist, trying to see if it was fitting properly (It would've been much more easier and faster if he didn't wiggle around every ten seconds 😒)

"This feels hot. Not hotter than you though— OW!"

"Yeah you deserved that."

Luka sighed as he rubbed the spot where you gave him a good ol pinch, staring at your form kneeled in front of him, your hands currently fixing the stupid belt.

"Shoot, should've used extra fabric.. Okay there.."

You stood up after successfully securing the belt in place, giving him a silent one over, noting any details that needed to be changed. The look you were giving him proceeded to send shivers down his spine, but he masked it well with his sleepy gaze. You stepped forward to run your hands over the cloth he was wearing, smoothening it out and fixing the wrinkles to make it fit better on his body, not aware of the effect your hands had on him.

You were in the midst of fixing a detail that needed to be changed until you felt cold, purple tipped fingers gently grabbing your wrist— to your surprise. You barely had time to react when he brought your hands up to his face and gently pressed a kiss on your palm, his gaze flicking up to watch your reaction.

"Luka..!"

"Hmm..?"

A pretty shade of red bloomed on your cheeks, your eyes widening at his actions and you immediately pulled your hands away, hugging your torso. You barely resisted punching him when a chuckle escaped his lips at your body language, which earned him a dirty glare.

"Don't look at me like that, I didn't do anything.."

He raised his hands up in defense, closing his eyes dramatically, before peeking at her with one eye open.

"Unless you want me to.. That is."

That bastard. That stupid handsome bastard.
