At least pinkies are slightly easier to feed? Glad to hear he’s eating again.
Pinkies are better than nothing, at least for now!

Her Random House books seem to be detective stories. The fact that this terribly designed covered book was self published might say more about how she lowered her standards from what Random House previously accepted. Or that this is so not her genre.
I’m not sure she knows what her genre is. Her Avon book was a “clean and wholesome” romance about a white girl white savioring in the Underground Railroad. .
Frankly I’m just shocked she hasn’t gotten a better covers. It’s not that hard and it doesn’t cost that much. But that may be because she considers herself above the conventions rather than being willing to spend $5 on fiverr for something halfway viable. I get the impression much like her character in this book she looks down on the genre she’s writing in. (Because she very much put herself in the various romance categories this book is in.)

I have now discovered the Peter Serafinowicz Show.

Totally agree. Hate everything beyond XP. It’s a good thing I currently have an Apple. It frustrates me to no end to have to deal with a Windows 7 or 8 computer.
hmmm I like my windows 7 but like. not so much more that if it hadn't been free (whoo graduation present) that i would have paid for it, you know? if my computer had come with windows xp I'd still happily be running that
windows 8 is actually satan tho

alihsi replied to your post: why do all robots in fiction identify ...
Because they’re designed by binary people with binary blinders. Although this can also be perceived as a pun. :]
#(this is rhetorical)
Friend. I'm nonbinary. Do you honestly think I didn't already know the answer.
alihsi replied to your post:I’m not saying The Night Circus was like THE BEST...
Was not that impressed with Night Circus. Sorry. It comes across as exactly what it is, a book written by someone who hasn’t experienced enough of the world yet. My British friend also found the lack of research on British geography terrible.
Yeah, I figured as much. I think for a debut novel it wasn't bad, but my standards for modern literature are notoriously low. I guess the British geography part didn't bother me as much because 1) I've never been to Britain, either, and 2) It wasn't a very prominently featured setting in the book? Like, yes, Marco resides in London, but the reader doesn't really spend a lot of time with him in London, so to speak. I enjoyed the book, but it's not really topping any of my Must Reads lists, I guess. The fancasting just helps me imagine it better.
