uhh not really, tash is my nickname but everyone calls me that so its not very exciting

it was one of my pals at work, me and him are really similar and we get along well!

daisy - what’s your best childhood memory?

My childhood was overall pretty nice, but I don’t have that many specific memories of it. Something I still remember very fondly when I look back is how my best friend at the time used to have a huge garden and we used to play a lot there in summer.

alstroemeria - dream vacation?

I really really really want to go to New York sometime, but that’s not going to happen anytime soon, so maybe London instead.

hydrangea - proudest moment?

Idk if this is my absolute proudest moment, but I’ve had one pretty recently that was pretty awesome and still makes me very happy. I had to do a presentation for uni and was so anxious about it before, but it went well and afterwards one of the examiners came to talk to me and told me how good it was and that he could tell I knew a lot about the topic and had put effort into it, like?! I’m still pretty proud of that.

13. Describe your writing process

It usually starts with a really short blip of a thought like, “I bet Viktor…” “I bet Yuuri…” Then I expand on the thought through notes and then start writing. I use my imagination and pull from my own story bank but honestly, my absolute favorite thing to do is to ask friends about their stories and experiences. Like, when I was writing my ice cream shop AU I asked my friend that worked at an ice cream shop through high school about her worst customers, funniest stories, etc.. I tweak everything, of course, but yeah I find reality often produces wilder stories than my imagination ever could. (plus people (often) love being asked about their life so that’s a nice bonus)

17. What things (scenes/topics/character types) are you most comfortable writing?

I’m way better writing interior states of being than action. I can write thought processes no problem but I’m really no good when it comes to figuring out different ways to have characters express their emotions through action. Probably because I’m a good listener but I have trouble holding eye contact and I walk around with my eyes pointed at my feet so I don’t observe people enough. I am trying to work on this!

But yeah so character studies usually flow through me pretty easily. Trying to break out of my comfort zone with that, though. 

46. Past or present tense?

P R E S E N T

I used to write in past all the time but there’s something about the flow and immediacy of present that I way prefer. (writing, anyway, I don’t have a preference when reading)

1. Catching lightning bugs on a warm summer night
