Anger coursed through her wolfish form. Anger, regret, and viciousness. No, these monsters were not killing her this time, not when she'd finally found a bit of happiness in the twisted life she called her own. She would not allow Bishop or Maseon to take her again, not now. She was their only spell weaver, and she intended to use every trick she had up her sleeve to make sure she and her brothers and sisters made it home alive. Shadow flame took her eyes, coursed around her as she prepared to fight as if her life depended on it, which it did. She didn't know if she'd be able to channel her spell work in her current form, but before she could release the build up of shadow magic, Adamar and Adir arrived, and Maseon seemingly returned to his senses. It felt like a trick, a trap....but there was an inkling of her brother in there, she could feel it.
She could not afford to think about it, her priority as the others made their escape to get Rosemarri moving. The fact that she could not feel Sarv worried her, but she couldn't think about that. She charged to Rosemarri's side and nudged her urgently with her snout. "Rosemarri, with me! We take our own path out of here, and if Bishop follows, I'll lead him off," she conveyed through their link, urging her to keep moving. They had to get out of here, now. "I do not intend to die again, here!"
"ROSEMARRI," she called. Indecision tore at her....the plan had been to run, but there was Rosemarri, moving towards Bishop and the fray. She let out a low growl.......the human woman was going to be the death of her, she thought, before she bounded after her, leaping to lock her jaws around Bishop's arm in an effort to bring him down. However, the wolf's mouth closed on mere shadow, and she tumbled to the ground, growling as she sought purchase on the grassy earth and moved to leap again, until she felt Maseon's pain and anguish in her mind. She let out a yelp of pain as she crashed head first into the earth again, struggling to get herself up as she recovered from the sudden shock to her system.
"Maseon," she managed. "No...not again, not again......" She got onto her paws, turning to face Bishop again, but he had departed with no more than a casual toss of Maseon's lifeless halves. She took one step and then another in her wolf spirit form before she returned to her normal appearance, her void-blades drawn and at the ready in case Bishop returned, but only Adir's dying pants filled her ears. Anger coursed through her again, wrath and outrage flooded her thoughts, but she wasn't sure if it was her brothers and sister's thoughts clouding her own. She crouched on the earth, a hand reaching up to hide her face as she worked through the myriad of emotions she was feeling. After she felt more or less calmed down, she lowered her hand and forced herself to stand. "What's the plan," she said, her tone emotionless, the mask once more put in place.
