that is basically the main reason I made the post. Do not EVER try to change who you are to fit in with the people around you. Stick to who you are and what you feel about yourself. You’ll be so much happier in the long run that way. I’m rooting for you man.

Part of me could see it as an interesting direction, especially if they explained it more, and actually wealth with all of the hostage scenarios he'd been in, but then he suddenly started screaming about freaks and being just as oblivious as Friedkin and I just didn't understand where it was coming from

Yeah like there’s a way to write an arc like that in a good and compelling way, but honestly it was like they took Ken’s and Friedkin’s personalities and viewpoints and just swapped them without any explanation. It was such sloppy writing now that I look back on it, and it made no sense at all the way it was executed. (at this point I kinda want them, in the event of a s3, to just say that he was replaced by a shape shifting alien bc that’s how he felt to me compared to his characterization from s1)

Like if they expanded his backstory, and had him have complex motivations and kept his attachment and concern for Bart then it could have been okay but this? This wasn’t Ken, and he deserved better than that.

Are you interested at all in writing about the Rowdy 3? I'm really curious about what their pasts would have looked like, and their families. Riggins says that Gripps' family misses him. Did he ever get married? Have kids? Did his family know about this ability/psychic trait, and did things start falling apart when it became impossible to hide? Did they fight when Gripps was taken away? Were the 3 always this destructive, or was it a reaction to being put in cages and treated like animals?

Okay, so we talked about this over on the discord chat awhile ago and my headcanons have been influenced a hell of a lot by that, sothese aren’t 100% my original ideas!

I like the idea that they’ve always had the ‘vampire’ability, but that the tracking element of it becomes stronger when they’re alltogether. So, when they were younger, most of them just tried to ignore it,especially Gripps and Martin who – if we’re going by actor’s ages – lived apretty big chunk of their lives out of captivity.

One of the ideas from the chat that I loved was the idea that Martin and Gripps had met before being putin captivity, perhaps in the army. And then, once they realise they’re notalone, they stop trying to hide it quite as much and maybe this is when Grippsstarts to become more distant from his family (potentially a wife? I’m not sureabout kids, that’d be so sad if he left kids behind). Maybe Gripps’ familythink at first that him being distant is a result of being in the army, likePTSD or something. So, I headcanon that Gripps was already sort of distant fromhis family when he was taken in, and perhaps Martin didn’t have much of afamily to begin with and that’s why he’s so attached to the sense ofcamaraderie with the Rowdy 3.

As for Cross, I like the idea that being young and coming toterms with his abilities didn’t go well for him. Perhaps he tried much harderto repress it than the others and that had a bad psychological effect, orperhaps his family noticed the strange behaviour and tried to take him down thepsychiatric institutionalisation route. I imagine that he didn’t meet Gripps orMartin until he was taken in by Black Wing. Similarly for Vogel, I imagine hewas taken directly from his family (probably with their consent, if he was asdestructive as we see him being) at a young age, and then later introduced tothe other three.

I think that the destructive behaviour is a mix of beingtherapeutic (esp. for Cross and Vogel, in my mind), being a way to ‘express’their newfound freedom (which I imagine is especially important for Gripps andMartin, who lived for longer outside of ‘cages’ before being caught) and also amethodical way to get more ‘psychic energy’ from people they feed off of. Iimagine that all of them did this to some extent before being brought in byBlack Wing (Martin and Gripps probably realised the full potential of it in thearmy tbh) but that they only started being as destructive as we see them beingpost-Black Wing, when they no longer feel they have to hide what they are.

So yeah, those are my thoughts that have very little basisin canon facts. Once again, credit to discord peeps, so many of my headcanonscome from there!

You asked for dangerous situation! = ) I mean, good old fashioned armed robbery or bank heist is fun and dramatic. Getting mugged. falling through ice. Getting lost in the wilderness or trapped on a cliff (rocks, exposure, dangerous animals, poisonous plants, hunger). Slip on a roof tile. Deadly allergy. Tool explodes/breaks or building partially collapses. A stalker or anonymous threat situation. Classic cartoon sort of falling into machinery/a vat. Someone is poisoned. Bad storm, etc

oh yes i have a fic about getting lost in the wilderness! very fun.
