For the fandom thing: Devil Survivor?

GIVE MIDORI A NEUTRAL ROUTE WHERE YOU CAN BEFRIEND THE DEMONS. Come on, it’s such an obvious option. You can’t expect me to believe that Frosty is the one and only demon she could win over, especially when Law 8th Day establishes that demons can learn to help others with the right guidance and demons like Kresnik are already happy to establish peaceful partnerships. :|

Remove Gin tbh. Let Haru investigate Aya’s disappearance on her own, as the one goal she clings to to stay alive for. Instead of her trying to pull a suicide by cop, she goes willingly into the Shomonkai’s trap to at least know what happened to her, whatever it might cost her, and you have to help her. Spread the rest of his former screentime among the rest of the cast for more development opportunities.

Give Mari a stronger presence in the Chaos 8th Day. Both of them. She deserves at least a couple of scenes where she gets to interact primarily with Atsuro or Naoya, instead of just Kaido, and she absolutely deserves to get to stay on the murder path. also you should be able to put Kresnik on her team and get a bonus scene, I am just saying

I don’t necessarily think the way canon handled it was bad, but if it were up to me, I would have definitely made it clear that Protag is Abel’s reincarnation and the angels alternate between downplaying this fact and feeding into it to manipulate him.

There should be a way to confront Naoya about him being Cain and his motivations on the Chaos route. My ideal way would be ‘completing every route and then re-playing Chaos path = unlocking Protag’s memories of being Abel, and offers new dialogue branches and events’, because I love that kind of gimmick.

the 'shu' part from akeshu comes from shujinko since the protag has no name and all. It's been taken from the japanese fandom probably to avoid fights over shipnames and all.

Favourite character: MISAKI

Funniest character: Huuuuh, Ren probably?

Best-looking character: Misaki, especially with long hair

3 favourite ships: Tbh I headcanon the entire cast as being a giant poly mess to some extent, but the ones I mostly make content for are Aichi/Kai, Naoki/Shingo, and Asaka/Misaki/Ren

Least favourite character: ??? I don’t know... Midorikawa, maybe?

Least favourite ship: Misaki/Kai

Reason why I watch it: The character writing is really excellent, especially for Aichi. His arc about embracing his own sadism and ambition is really unique for a shounen protag and it’s great. Plus the girls actually get to fight and have their own plot lines and rivalries independent of the dudes. Which is sometimes bungled (ala Legion Mate), but is still overall way better than some other card game anime I could mention.

Why I started watching it: Lin fell into card game anime hell and pulled me down with them.Also the dub was legally available on YT, so I could listen to it while doing other things too.

Favourite character: It doesn’t seem fair to say Misaki when she’s barely in it, so... hm, probably Chrono or Tokoha?

Funniest character: The Dragon Empire Branch Chief!

Best-looking character: This is still definitely Misaki though.

3 favourite ships: Chrono/Ibuki, Tokoha/Rin, and Luna/Am

Least favourite character: I did not enjoy Nagisa’s episode.

Reason why I watch it: G IS SO GOOD. The plotting is way better than the original series, and the character arcs are even stronger. All of the three mains have their own story lines that work independently of each other, but their friendship is still wonderfully written and supportive. Flaws and bad behavior are called out, fulfilling redemption arcs are had, and I love everything it chooses to be.

Why I started watching it: I had always planned on watching it after I finished the original, but after being disappointed by Legion Mate and another couple of shows, I only marathoned it once I heard it was doing things well.

Out of the original group, Nozomi. He respects her spiritual abilities, and her commitment to manipulating/aiding her friends from the shadows.
