In Korn's office in his "victory is written by the winners" scene, there is a single baby photo, and I can't decide who I think it is. My thought was, "Oh, that's his favorite--the only one worthy of being displayed," but I can't decide who that is. 100%, I don't believe it's Kinn for. But I'm actually kind of torn three ways between Kim/Khun/Porche (because maybe Kim wasn't wrong when he told Big she was Korn's mistress (despite the horrifying implications...)). Had you/anyone else noticed?

Oh interesting. I think I was so distracted by the fact the Symbolic Fish swam into view at the same time I didn't take in the baby photo.

I also can't see it being Kinn, despite Tankhun's "beloved son" comment, or Kim either really, I don't see Korn being more sentimental to Kim just for being the youngest. Khun would make sense, oldest and original heir, but this isn't just Korn's office.

It's also Namphueng's room.

At least it seems to be one of the few rooms she's allowed in, and is where her easels are set up to draw/paint. And we know that Korn (presumably) took stuff from her house when her husband was killed.

So in that way, I think it would make sense for the photo to be of Porsche (or even Chay), and to have it set up where Namphueng can see it, without it necessarily meaning Korn is their father. (From the conversation in the office confrontation I find it much more likely that Namphueng was romantically involved with Gun before leaving the family, but so much of their past is still up in the air it's hard to say.)

So yeah, I would put my money on either Tankhun or Porsche, but if it's Porsche then that's for Namphueng's sake. To make the place feel homely for her or as an implicit threat to make her stay, who's to say

I...am not likely to watch Bad Buddy, because I have the attention span of a gnat, but I am curious: I saw a couple posts yesterday about Pat's(?) father being responsible for Pran's(?) isolation? How did he do that? That's my biggest curiosity regarding the show.

You're correct!

Basically, the conflict between the parents at the beginning of the show is narrated by how Pat and Pran understand it, and they originally thought it was a petty thing between both their dad's being business competitors and neighbors that got overblown, etc.

But what they later find out is that Ming (Pat's dad) was friends with Dissaya (Pran's mom) back in high school. They competed a lot too. But Ming stole the scholarship that was meant for Dissaya, crushing all her hopes and dreams for life in the process and never admitting he did anything wrong or apologizing for it.

Yeah. A real dick move.

Which is why Dissaya is so protective of Pran and thinks Pat will hurt him just the same. Seeing them be close in any capacity was enough for her to transfer Pran away because the thought of them being friends and then seeing her son eventually live through the same heartbreak was too terrifying of a prospect. She loves him so much but that same love blinded her from seeing that Pat is everything Pran both wants and needs to be happy in his life.

Ming has just been out covering his ass the whole time and is mostly a disappointment. And that's why he gets two bisexual children in homo relationships.

He’s also, from what I can tell, a really nice guy. He can be as pretty as he wants, but if he’s a bad person, it doesn’t matter how good looking he is.

Yes, I know that, but the ask was about how he looks and he is a very beautiful guy. And I don’t think the anon meant any harm or to discount his personality so I didn’t feel it would have been nice to be like “yes he’s pretty, but he’s also nice.” They were just appreciating his looks, not objectifying him.

So, this is a little off topic, but do you think they made Stiles' and the sheriff's personalities similar on purpose? Or do you think it was a complete accident? I'm rewatching a few episodes and their foot-in-mouth similarities are super apparent now that I'm noticing.

Oh man, I love all the little similarities between Stiles and the Sheriff, the quirks and details that make them seem so much like family. It adds so much to these two and their interactions, and I credit most if not all of it to the amazing actors playing these two men. Dylan is just such a good actor and adds depth to Stiles in every aspect of his character, and I can absolutely see him and Linden taking time to observe each other’s quirks and emulate them, or even hang out between filming and work these details out.

for what it's worth, pickled cucumbers are colloquially called just "pickles." if it's a different vegetable, we clarify that it's a "pickled carrot" or a "pickled beet" or something

Regarding the continuing to work post: I don't WANT to work, necessarily, but as someone with ADHD I absolutely require some sort of external structure to not sit in one spot for the rest of my life reading and watching TV and ordering take out. So even a part time job would prevent me from becoming one with the furniture.

Ah okay, I understand that. I am quite content a lot of the time being one with the furniture lol.

But maybe part time - a few hours a day, maybe a few days a week - so not the grueling five days a week - would be fine for me, if I felt the need to have a job at all.

Or maybe I'd dedicate my days to writing, which I love, so maybe that'd become my job, in a sense? Otherwise I wouldn't want a job in general, though. At least not in the sense it's expected one to get in today's society.

With writing, I would get to be my own boss, essentially, and not have fixed times for things (which really stresses me out, having to get to work on time) and rules and expectations put on me as a worker, utmost professionalism, etc.

So maybe I wouldn't become one with the furniture, really, but...I would give myself plenty of days when I did in between the writing or what have you haha.

I tried to watch it on the USA website, but it was so glitchy and terrible. Episode 1 played, like, 2 seconds, and then the screen went black and then it came back and played a couple seconds of episode 2 and then it went to episode 3 and then 4 and just cycled back through. I don't have cable, and I'm trying to be supportive, but that's terrible.

I had the same problem! I’m not sure if everyone else is, but thanks for trying! I hope that those couple of seconds maybe gave them views? Or they saw people go on their site so they’re counting that as interest. 

I know social media can have an impact too though, so even if you can’t watch it live I think posting about it online is helpful, liking tweets from the USA twitter, or shtuff like that
