I think my therapist is soft launching an ocd diagnosis lol
The thing about the r slur is that people who are using it again are indeed using it as a slur. This isn't a word that is being reclaimed. This is a word that is once again being used 100% as a slur. You're being a bigot if you're using it against others. Straight up. There isn't another argument to be made. Knock it tf off.

controversial stance but i do wish i could live forever. i certainly live like i'm going to live forever. i take my time. realistically however my lifespan is dreadfully limited and there are things i've "been meaning to do" that i will never get around to. the Emoji Movie came out almost 10 years ago. in all that time on any random day i could've decided to sit down and watch it, and i did not. how many more decades will slip by like this? conceivably, it could be all the decades i have left. watching the Emoji Movie would not be, after all, a crucial use of my time. much better things to do. i could easily postpone it over and over and over until my final breath where it may not even register to me that i never did watch the Emoji Movie. no great loss, certainly; and yet i find myself intrigued by Patrick Stewart's involvement
HOUSE OF THE DRAGON (2022– ) 3.02 | Queen's Landing
Ilya at the cottage.
Ilya wanted to tell Shane that it had been one of the best days of his life. It had been awkward, sure, but Ilya felt that, if he hadn’t quite been already, he would be welcomed into Shane’s family, and that was no small thing. In fact, to Ilya, who had barely been welcome in his own family, it was huge.
He wanted to tell Shane that the closest he felt to home was when he was with him. It didn’t matter if it was in a hotel room, or Ilya’s apartment, or at that weird hideout building Shane bought in Montreal, or here at Shane’s cottage; he was himself when he was with Shane. He’d left Russia, he was uneasy in America, and he’d spent his entire adult life drifting between continents and between lovers.
But now he had been reeled in by this annoying Canadian, and all that he knew was that he wanted to stay. He wanted to anchor himself to Shane and just...stay.

stop saying "gen z brought back bush-era purity politics" i grew up in the bush era and even then people weren't saying that you're a sex addict for having boring marital sexual congress in the same house as your children. this is just plain unhinged
Literally almost every millennial I know has a memory of accidentally walking in on their parents or hearing their parents having sex. It's fucking normal. Human beings have sex. Your parents fuck. Get over it. Being weird about it isn't healthy.
I really loved Robert Evans’s response to this
I never once overheard or walked in on my parents having sex.
You know why? Because even when I was small, they would TELL me and my sister that they needed some privacy for a couple of hours so they could make love, and requested that we not bother them unless it was an emergency. And I would say, "Cool!" and give them a thumbs up and go back to playing with my legos.
Because my parents gave me age-appropriate sex ed and I knew that sex was a good and normal and healthy, yet private, part of their relationship. I didn't think it was wrong or gross or mysterious. It was just a thing that adults do when they're in love, and sometimes they do it to make babies but mostly they do it because it feels nice and is a way to express that they love each other.
Actually, I take back my original statement: once, in my late 20s or maybe early 30s, I was home for a holiday or something and overheard them having sex late at night. And I smiled and thought to myself that it was nice that the two of them were still in love and making love, because they were nearing their 80s and had been married for over 50 years. And then I put in headphones so I didn't have to hear it anymore.
This is maybe the only thing where I feel like I'm the only one being normal about it.
I’m genuinely baffled by how many people, especially on TikTok, would rather spend time typing out a question and waiting for someone to reply instead of just googling it and getting the answer in seconds. what’s even worse is when the answer was literally already in the video or caption, but they just didn’t bother watching the whole thing
I miss when we all used to send links that would take you to google to hold people accountable and encourage them to stop being lazy and do their own research to very simple questions

just saw a 20 year old make a cancel post for their ex friend that said their friend didn’t ask their consent to give them a Christmas gift and that the gift was a smut fic they wrote for two people the op shipped. They said it was sexual harassment. Like 40 replies saying they support op. We’re so cooked gang
absolutely hate it when the pleasurable activity procrastination hits. i’m going to do something fun that brings me joy but not yet. yeah, not yet. not yet. maybe i shouldn’t do it at all, it’s not that fun
