A kettlebell swing - a truly legitimate, hip-driven, posterior-kinetic-chain-engaging swing is a powerful, ballistic movement which is one of the best bang-for-your-buck patterns I know of.  If a so-called coach tries to pass off a slow, soft "squat + high pull" movement as a "swing," drop the bell, turn the other way and run like hell.

Or, you can turn to me and run like hell.  I certainly don't know it all, but I sure as hell know what a worthwhile swing ISN'T.
