Over at Brindleton Medical Center, Mark is doing fine. The bullet that was meant for Seth and hit him, only grazed his arm, and no other damage. The detective found the bullet lodged into the side of the back of the house. But not knowing the damage to Mark, Ian called Mark’s parents, Dan and Marisa came and checked up on him, and then his mother, Wanda showed up all the way from Willow Creek.
MARK- “Mom!! You shouldn’t have drove all the way out here! I am fine.”
WANDA- “Well, mom didn’t know that, son, and I was scared half out of my wits and worried. I wanted to see you for myself and make sure that you were okay.”
MARK- “I love you mom, I am glad you came, really. But you didn’t need to. I am fine.”
SETH- “And he is a hero, Ms. Matthews, he saved my life! If he wouldn’t have jumped in front of me it would have hit me right into the chest.”
WANDA- “ Seth, what did I tell you. You can call me mom!! You are my son too! My son a hero! Oh, Mark I am so glad you are okay!! So do you have stay overnight?”
MARK- “No, I am just waiting for the paperwork to be dismissed, the doctor said it would heal fine. Just keep it wrapped for a few days, then take off the bandages and just let it heal on it’s own. He said if there are any issues to see my family doctor. And trust me, I am no hero. I am just a scardy cat. I shouldn’t have made you go out there. We should have just called the police.”
SETH- “We had no idea it was some crazy man with a gun, and you are hero, Mark. You have always been a hero. You were a hero long before all of this.”
MARK- “Mom, you need to come home with us and stay overnight. Seth makes an amazing breakfast. Get a good nights sleep before you head back home, or stay a few days if you want.”
WANDA- “I think I will take you up on that overnight stay and amazing breakfast offer!.”
SETH- “And you my husband, have a promise to keep when you get home!”
MARK- “I am ready!!”
WANDA- “I am not even going to ask what that is about!”
