Feeling extremely fortunate as our @allmadeapparel Indiegogo campaign (http://igg.me/at/allmade) continues to gain traction. We're making a t-shirt that gives back to people and the planet but and I'm on fire about it because I've experience what it can do.
Daniel came out of the slums of Haiti and was left outside an orphan care facility sick and hungry, out of room they were not going to be able to take him but one of the teenage boys went out, picked him up, and told the director that he will let Daniel sleep in his bed and give him half his food. We met him a week later, he was still shell shocked and just clung to Amanda falling asleep in here arms for hours.
4 months later I go back with our #allmade #screenprinting founders and see Daniel, he's a little livewire like our son Maddox, doing great, bossing kids around 3x his size. One day he will go to Pathways school, learn either sewing, diesel mechanics, or agriculture, one day maybe he'll be making #allmadeapparel or growing hemp in Haiti for our fabric, or keeping our diesel generators running. He'll not have to leave his son at a gate barely living on a prayer. This can happen x10000 if all we do is make something and #screenprinters chose to print on a shirt that gives back, so simple, so big! #makeitbetter #bringthefire (in Port-au-Prince, Haiti)
