Overall, the world of Aloran functions off of maps and compasses like we do. There are a few notable areas that require additional assistance in finding one's way around.
It's a bit of a ramble, so more under the cut!

Value Me!
“You know, darling, sometimes I feel like you just don’t love me anymore,” Aloran sighs, draping himself over the crystalline stones at the edge of the springs. He lets a hand trail in the water, steam curling around fingers burnished gold in the dying light of what was a beautiful sunset. Valeris, reclined in the pool, cracks open one eye to assess his seriousness.
He offers an earnest look chock-full of the proper solemnity, and she sighs.
“Whatever gives you that idea?” she says, around a luxurious yawn.
“Well, you don’t take an interest in the children,” he begins.
She makes a sound that one would normally term a snort, were she not quite so elegant, or so coolly intimidating when insulted. “Neither do you.”
Aloran shrugs a shoulder and allows it, twisting to dangle his feet in the springs, careful of his trailing silks. “You’ve spent as much time with Sadzhik in the past month as you have with me.”
“You could say the same, dear,” she says lazily. “And you’ll recall that you were there for a number of those visits.”
He smiles fondly in remembrance. “Well, yes.”
Valeris sighs gustily, slipping out of the water to join him at the pool’s edge. He levers himself up enough to reach a towel off a nearby stack and drapes it around her shoulders before reclining again; she wears the simple cotton as a queen wears a mantle. “Is that all?” she prompts, tucking herself into his side and adjusting his arm until it serves as an adequate pillow.
“Mm,” he says, having somewhat lost the thread of his argument in the lazy heat of the springs. He combs the fingers of his free hand through the trailing ends of her hair, catching in the dripping ends.
“Do you want exclusivity?” she asks, not willing to be distracted now.
“No, not really. Boring,” he yawns.
“Do you want a gaggle of children vying for our attention, with all of the laughter and tears that would entail?”
“Weaver no,” he laughs. “We’d never get any time for ourselves.”
“Do you want to be with me always?” she presses.
“That would get rather tiring, don’t you think?”
“Yes. And that, my dear, is why you are absolutely perfect,” she says fondly, curling up and resting her head on his chest.
From Dipolog, it took us 4 hours to travel to Aloran, Misamis Occidental which is the hometown of our beloved friend, Che-che! :) We thought it was only two hours, and we expected to arrived at lunch, but actually, we arrived past 2pm and kinda hungry. We were so thankful that Cherrylyn’s family prepared something for us! yeees! late lunch on banana leaf! yum yum :)
After eating, it was a perfect time to jumped into the river! Last time I went (real) swimming in the river was like 9 or 10 years ago? river sampling is not counted :p So.. welcome back! Yes hello riverrrr!
The river was kinda dried up since it’s summer.. but It was also great that the water current was not that dangerous. Anyway, we went to a part of a river where the water is still :)
Yesss. we were feeling the nature ~ It’s also great being away from the city you know ;) The water level here was high and the bottom was beyond the reach of our toes hahaha but cheche’s cousins were not afraid to jump into the deep middle part of the river. Pildi ang mga adult!
The adventure was really great! and even better since it was spent with friends. :) even better than better if we were complete!
