I hecking love Game Jams Alphys Fight so much! Such a banger concept with peak music and shiz!
I wanted to do a "what if" drawing for Game Jams Alphys Fight if it was to happen in Virusbound!
Obviously it's not canon to the au, since Alphys isn't in her right mind when she fights the players during the geno right, but it's fun to doodle these types of scenarios where Alphys locks TF in!
so I woke up and made a long-ass text dump about it

"Uh, so... I-- I guess we're... fighting, now?"

FIGHT
Alphys hasn't fought in a long time.
She begins with woefully simple attacks.
With repeated FIGHT actions, she slowly
gains confidence and remembers.
SPARE
"You don't understand. I...
I just have to do this.
I'm sorry."
RUN
* Doors are on a time lock.
* There's no escape for now.
ACT / TALK
Alphys will talk about her orders.
To study the nature of the human SOUL.
To eliminate any human that falls.
She doesn't want to, but she must.
Doubt festers.
She remembers her attacks faster,
but occasionally panics and trips up.
ACT / CHALLENGE
ACT / PLEAD
Much the same as FIGHTing, but
Alphys will alternately gain
confidence and freak out over being
treated like a real threat
...just like Undyne.
ACT / NERD OUT
She'll put forth a couple attacks,
but quickly get distracted by talk
of the latest animes.
Ones that haven't even fallen into
the Underground yet.
Eventually she will SPARE you.
...After a LOT of nerdy dialog.

Alphys will grant you MERCY.
As with any fight, you have the option
of a betrayal kill instead of mercy.
NERD OUT / BETRAYAL
You deliver a lethal blow
while Alphys's guard is down.
Except... you don't.
SHE DODGES IT.
"Of all the things sans told me,
that was the one I would NEVER forget.
Humans can kill when you least expect it.
So... I guess it's time for killing."
