I'm late BUT per Fat Thor vs Muscular Thor: I never feel bad about writing Muscular Thor because it was treated as such a joke in canon that it was never actually about showing his mental health because he was fine when shit started to happen. It was only about "haha, we made the God of Thunder fat, isn't that so funny?". And I'll bet anything it'll be gone by the next movie without the actual development. I don't feel bad about ignoring something canon didn't take seriously in the first place.

I think I created more plot/fanon behind Thor’s mental breakdown than the movie addressed/made canon and I gotta remember that, too. I just saw Infinity War and!!! I loved it!!! (I also cried like 4 times but shhh) ngl, I actually really like Thanos as a villain. He’s evil and terrible but like. In the way Ava Paige was in Maze Runner. I really like villains who wholeheartedly believe they’re doing what’s best, and they’ll sacrifice however many necessary to “save” the world.

It was very fun, very tense, and I’m so glad I set aside any preconceived notions from Tumblr because I enjoyed it so much more than I would have otherwise. (Re: Thanos, who in fact is not purple Joss Whedon)

The effects were, as always, beautiful. And it had some really great moments. Some of my favorite being:

Tony and Dr. Strange’s interactions were great. Bruce and Hulk was amazing (but also what was the reasoning?? Was there something I’m missing from Ragnarok or what?)

The Collector part I disagreed with because thanks to the Grandmaster, in the comics, that literally cannot happen. Unless there’s some shadiness going on and it didn’t actually happen? 🤔

I think there may have been a liiiitle too much humor? Personally? Like some of the serious moments would have been much better with less joking around, except for the emotion-centered ones. But that’s just my personal opinion. All around, I think it was very well balanced for the most part. (As much as I love Ragnarok, it could have done with less humor—there were some really serious things that needed to be adressed in a more serious way, I think)

Oh and one more thing, because, plot twist out of nowhere??? Where did my dude come from like??? If you’ve seen it you know exactly who I’m talking about but shouldn’t that mofo be dead??? It’s been a while since I saw that movie but I’m p sure he’s supposed to be dead, so how tf is he not only dead, but on a whole different planet looking like a dementor wannabe?
