Not the same anon. But why can’t you be more open-minded? That ask was rude, but your writing isn’t perfect. You come across as so full of yourself and arrogant.

Am I being arrogant by saying that I write for myself? That is good writing advice 101. Trying to cater to readers' desires is a) impossible, because different people like different things b) very stressful and c) often costs authenticity.

Being open-minded should not mean that I have to agree with an anon when it comes to how they perceive a character I'm writing, especially when I really don't see that at all. They brought me no examples of what they found to be "effeminate", nor specified what exactly they wanted me to go back to.

All I am saying, literally, is by all means, put the "book" down if it isn't for you any longer. I think that's the done thing with reading. Of course my writing isn't perfect. I don't recall ever implying any such thing. I didn't say the anon didn't "get it". They're entirely entitled to their opinion about my story. And there are heaps of better authors in this fandom than me.

Heck, I'm friends with some of them.
