I decided to change this photo from regular to blur because i really liked the way the trees looked when they were blurred out. I also took away some contrast because I wanted the photo to look a little bit lighter. I like both the original and the edited but the edited is my favorite because of the blur.
"Drowning in Color" What you are seeing in this photo are flowers drenched with water in a mason jar. I actually had the flowers sit in the water for a couple days, which is why they look the way they do. The lines of color you are seeing in the photo are from a very colorful badminton racket I found in my garage. I put the racket close enough to the lens so it would not be in focus and the background would. I think adding the racket to the photo made it way more interesting and enhanced the colors of the flowers.
"Stranded"
"Electric" The way I got this effect on the photo was I made the shutter speed very slow, so the lights would look like they were moving. For some reason this photo in general had this foggy look so the original photo looks the same besides the fact it is in color. The blur in this photo makes it look surreal and a lot more interesting.The blur makes it hard to make out what is going on in the photo, so it is up to the viewers to determine what is going on.
"Double"I took these two photos in a forest near my house. The way I got this pop of color was because I took saran wrap and colored it with blue and red. I put it up to the lens and got this. I thought it would be cool to combined the two photos because they both had the same tree in them but they had different colors, so it gives this double illusion.
In the original photo, the background is more in focus than the edited version of the photo. The blur filter added to the photo enhances the focus on the mirror as opposed to the background. Also, the blur of the background creates a surreal effect making the world seem as if it's turning too fast, while the mirror shows the reflection of the background clearly in focus. 12/13/182 Photos - View album
The photo was taken at the Joliet Iron Works Site in Joliet, IL. I altered the space by adding a dress hanging from a nail on the demolished structure. This alteration changed the mood to become more mysterious by creating the audience to wonder who the dress could have belonged to or how it ended up there in a place that is now in ruins.

The mood of the photo changed once the black and white filter was added to more of an eerie and mysterious mood. The composition of the photo itself is already mysterious due to the limpness of the dress, hanging over the pit making the audience question "who the dress could have belonged to?" or "how did the dress end up there?". However, once the black and white filter was added it intensified the mysterious mood.
