Am I the only one who prefers ‘Alterhuman’ over ‘Therian’? Absolutely NO HATE to those that use that label, I just feel like it’s not really.. me? Even though I technically ‘qualify’ as a Therian. (Canadian lynx, I believe, still figuring it out)

Notagender: When you are agender but… not. You “look” agender, feel agender, and so on, but there is something… off… Something deeply, deeply wrong. (This “wrongness”, though, is subtle. The kind of subtle that others will notice, but won't ever mention. How weird.)

Avienby: A term for those who feel their being nonbinary is connected to birds in some way, for enbies that are birds, for enbies who really like birds, etc.

Moon Genderfluid: A term for those whose genderfluidity is connected to moons/the moon in some way, for genderfluid beings that are moons, for genderfluid beings who really like moons/the moon, etc.

GaryBarkovitchperspesque || Moon Bi (×2)

GaryBarkovitchperspesque: A perspesque term for wanting Gary Barkovitch from The Long Walk to be deeply intertwined with how others perceive you.

Moon Bi: A term for those whose biattractionism is connected to moons/the moon in some way, for bi beings that are moons, for bi beings who really like moons/the moon, etc.

does anyone have a big list of just nonhuman/alter human labels? I'm questioning a part of my self and I know I don't need a label that's already existing or to have one at all but it would be nice to look through!!

its accurate, i am not quite human, but it feels like a community term more than a me term.

nonhuman: 10/10

this is me!!!! i am NOT human, im a critter! this is my favorite label overall.

inhuman: 4/10

its okay, but feels like an insult more than anything.

human: 1/10

im not, but i understand that im percieved as such. ive gotten used to it but it doesnt feel good

otherkin: 8/10

this is also a good label! i identify with otherkin more than any other label.

therian: 5/10

i mean i guess? but not really. i am foxkin, not a fox therian. im not sure why the distinction is so important to me, but calling myself a therian just feels incorrect.

otherhearted: 9/10

this is me! i have multiple hearttypes. i feel like being otherhearted isnt talked about much in the alterhuman community, so referring to myself as such feels good!

fox/ocelot/etc: 7/10

its nice, but i prefer being called [type]kin. i am a fox, and i am an ocelot, but i heavily prefer being called -kin.

beast/critter/animal: 10/10

this is VERY good! i especially like the term critter. i am just a small critter skittering about... /silly

🍊 : what labels do you identify most closely with? (e.g. alterhuman, therian, etc)

this is hard bc i use so many and it doesn't matter much to me. but some words i like (for different types obviously):

phytanthrope (redwood), therian (cat, dragon), otherkin (avianthrope), fictionflicker, kinsidering trying to link my current flicker so ig otherlink as well

for umbrella terms, i personally much prefer alterhuman to nonhuman because i still think me being human is an important part of my identity and experience
