He swings his cane in the air and yells “Fly away my little akuma!” A shadow is cast behind him from the light of the window. Frame 2. He asks, “how did you get up there?” Cat Noir makes a little claw with his hand and there’s a small piece of text next to him that says “meow.” End of text.]
I want to practice writing image descriptions/alternate texts for edits, so if anyone has any moodboards/gifsets/edits they want described and it’s for one of my fandoms, send me an ask or PM with the link! *
*first-come first-serve, depending on how many people respond.
Do anybody else have the alternate text button on literally every image in the dashboard?? (where 99% of the images don't have an alternate text of course)
You guys remember when I was scratching my head over how feral I should make Oscar in 49?
Wanna see the level of Feral I cut?
Well...
49 (Alt. Ironwood talk.)
[... "I didn't call you James until the last day I was in Atlas," Oscar said, not looking at him, "you told me not to. I decided to anyway." Oscar pressed his chin against his hands, "It doesn't matter, we're not here to talk about something that might not happen. At least. I hope." ]
James sighed, taking a few steps forward, "Is there... some sort of problem? You seem... upset."
Oscar rolled his eyes, moving his head away.
"Oscar has had a difficult last week," Ozpin said, "do you recall the conversation I had with you about a week ago? About my contact-"
"-running across some of Salem's operatives," James finished, looking at Oscar with wide eyes, "What- exactly happened?"
"Oscar was in Vale, at a bookstore he goes to often-"
"-you let him got to Vale? Alone?" James interrupted, "Ozpin-"
"I'm fifteen!" Oscar almost yelled, slamming his fist on the table and the room went silent. Ozpin was looking at him, shocked. Oscar should have known. He almost never rose his voice, but Oscar felt a flare of anger he hadn't felt in a long time. If ever. No, Oscar wasn't angry- he was furious. "I should have been fifteen," Oscar said, standing up, "I would have been fifteen, if you didn't get me into this mess!"
James stared at Oscar with confusion and shock as Oscar took a step forward. "I-? Oscar, this is an incredible opportunity-"
"An incredible opportunity?" Oscar parroted, "I'm sure it was an incredible opportunity for you to do whatever the fuck you wanted when you shot me!" Oscar laughed humorlessly, "You probably thought how wonderful it was going to be without me telling you not to abandon Remnant- how quiet it was going to be without having to deal with Mantle because screw everyone else-"
"Oscar." Ozpin grabbed Oscar’s wrist.
Oscar quickly twisted his wrist and pulled it out of Ozpin’s grip. “No! It’s his fault!”
James stared at Oscar, looking confused and worried. An expression too gentle for someone like him. “I… I don’t understand.”
"You- You!" Oscar walked forward but Ozpin grabbed his arm again.
"Oscar, you need to calm down," Ozpin said as softly as he could.
Oscar seethed. It was like every single exhausted and sad emotion in his body had boiled into anger at once. He wanted to scream. He wanted to yell. He didn't want this responsibility. He hadn't wanted any of it and now he had all of Vale directly on his shoulders and a patchwork map of where it was going.
"He-" Oscar said, his arm shaking, "He tried to kill me!"
Just wanted to give you a heads up of some minor changes you’ll start to see on this blog, including some retroactive ones.
In an attempt to make the blog more accessible for the visually impaired I had been trying to include alt text embedded in images when uploading answers and providing answer transcripts. It seems to me in my limited understanding of coding that the alt text is not sticking the way I expected it to, and therefore not showing up on images, meaning screen readers wouldn’t have image descriptions to give. This is an oversight on my part I’m going to be working to correct.
I will be including image descriptions below a read more in each post from here on out in an attempt to make things more accessible and to prevent posts from turning into dash-stretchers. I will also be going back, slowly but surely, and adding image descriptions to existing posts. I understand that this will upset the way previous posts appear in the tags, but given how old and recently revived this blog is I don’t see that as being an issue. I will also therefore try to keep mun commentary separate from image descriptions, if at all applicable, and clearly label where the beginning and ending of image descriptions was.
I realized having a blind character as part of this blog I really needed to do more to make the blog accessible to blind folks who might also want to enjoy the story I’m attempting to tell.
So you’ve probably seen a video or two on how you can meet Prince Sidon in the throne room instead of at Inogo Bridge and that there’s even a couple voiced lines for that. A much smaller difference is what happens if you meet him at Inogo Bridge but then go to Zora’s Domain by a different route
On the left is his reaction and what he says when I approached the entrance of the Domain from the expected way, i.e. from the road.
On the right is his reaction when I came up behind him. There isn't too much difference between the two, but I think it's neat to see the different angles and the bit of text that you only see if you surprise him.
Then, at the end, on the left he remains standing while the camera pans up to the throne room, while on the right he starts running in the direction of the throne room.
Its really fun to see the differences in just doing something a little bit differently, which is one reason why I love replaying Zelda games. Breath of the Wild is especially great in how much freedom it gifts the player.
It's not easy being the assistant of the city's #1 terrorist.
