FUNDS RUN DRY AT TUCSON'S DRY RIVER COLLECTIVE
Tucson's premier volunteer-run alternative arts/politics collective, Dry River Radical Resource Center, has hit a financial roadblock and seeks the community's help to stay above ground.
Current fundraising efforts has raised about one-tenth of the set goal, with the Dry River collective putting out the following update:
"Over the past six years, we have been host to countless shows, classes, presentations, and benefits for activist projects from a local to international scale. We stay open without pay most of the week with a computer lab, library, and free store, as well as a venue space where local and touring bands can play.
However, this has not been without setbacks. During the past year we have fallen drastically behind on our rent and are now faced with contemplating the future of our space. We're working on long-term fundraising options, but without immediate financial help, it is unlikely that we will stay open until year's end."
