Alterhuman Wonderland

Alterhuman Wonderland is a convention held the weekend before Christmas for alterhumans and systems of all kinds! Otherkin, therians, otherhearted, othershards, vampires, unspecified alterhumans, systems of all sorts, incarnates, and anything else you can think of under the Alterhuman umbrella!

We have panels and events related to both Alterhuman (& plural), and winter holiday topics, anywhere from history of Christmas to modern celebrations of pagan holidays, to system life during the holidays, to how your heart-type affects your day to day life, and more!

We’ll be happy to have you, so come celebrate the holiday season in our cozy little wonderland~

Any godshards out there?

Please comment on this post if you resonate with this label, I’m hoping to find similar souls :) I’ll probably be making posts about my own experiences as a godshard soon, but I’d really love to be able to talk any of you out there. Hope it’s not too long of a shot.

OtherShard, a coining post

Most of us in the alterhuman community have heard of godshards, someone who's soul is a piece of a god, usually sent to incarnate to preform tasks. But what about other entities? Gods aren't the only beings that can have shards! For example, Clover's partner is a shard of a fallen angel, and we've heard of others with a similar experience.

So we bring you a new term: OtherShard! It would be used in a similar way as otherkin, "I'm an angel-shard", "I'm a shard of Hera", "I'm questioning demon-shard", essentially it's an umbrella term for godshards and other shard beings to have a united community.

Definition of OtherShard:

Someone who is a shard of any kind of being. Some are smaller independent parts, some are lost/separated pieces of a being. There are lots of shard identities, but the common thread is being a part or, "shard" of an entity. Well, here’s activity one from @othermagic prompt challenge.

As you can probably already tell, I chose my life as Snufkin for this particular prompt, primarily because I haven’t delved too much into this life yet and I thought that now is as good of a time as any to start studying that life more intensely. 

A few key things of note;

In my life as Snufkin, there were many, many Snufkins, and we lived as nomads of a sort, forever wandering the world, sometimes in groups of three or four, but usually alone.

Snufkish worked similarly to romance languages such as Spanish, in that a sentence such as “the blue house” would translate into “the house blue”. 

Snufkish, unlike romance languages, had few gendered words.

Music was the most common form of Snufkin art, mostly in the form of medieval style flute and guitar music. Not related to the language, just thought it was a cool fact.
