How did you feel about Will Take Charge in the Alysheba?

I think he’s a tired horse.  I’m glad that Lukas campaigned him the way he did in 2013, because he got to show how tough he is.  He ran eleven times as a three year old and was in the money in seven of those races. But he ran sloppily last time out, even though he won, and finishing out of the money here tells me that he needs a break.  Any athlete needs a break eventually, and his sixth place finish in the Alysheba tells me that he needs a couple months off.  I think he can come back and be a winner again, he’s a very good horse, he’s got heart, and he’s able to handle heavy racing.  But he needs rest now, a little time off.
