Ooh~! Idea for the yandere single dads!

Lumberjack yan dad! Plaid button shirt, built like a brick house, stubble maybe (or beard, mostly in the winter), and a gentle giant. Absolute teddy bear. Has a kid, or two, and they're good if a little troubled. Hard with a workin' dad in a country town, with no one else at home to care for 'em, even with other kids and adults pitching in to help watch them, so they're bound to get into trouble, whether they mean it or not.

And then comes you, sweet little darlin' who just moved into town. Needed a chance of pace, scenery, maybe you work part-time at the lumber yard, helpin' with paperwork for the old bossman who can barely keep up with all the new tech and lingo. Don't even charge em a penny! Just a little help with getting a load of wood or to your house in prep for winter, and even insist on paying for the wood as well! Such a kind little thing, you are!

Maybe you catch the kids sneakin' into the yard, or maybe tresspassin' your own property, but instead of gettin mad or calling local law enforcement... you let them sit on your front steps, bring out some warm drinks, talk to 'em, give some advice, and offer to take them home. You don't mind, after all, everyone did stupid things as kids, and sometimes all you need a little understanding and a kind hand. You're also firm, telling them that instead of sneaking about in the dark, they should just knock on your front door in the daylight hours- happy to watch them since you can work from home (or maybe you haven't found a job yet, or are getting things set up for your job).

The kids come home with wide eyes and bright smiles, and after some pokin' and proddin' tell their dad all about the nice new neighbor, which just confirms his suspicions. You really were an angel! He just has to get to know you better. He doesn't want to get his hopes up, not after last time, but he feels it in his soul- you're the one. Now, he just gotta convince you, and he's sure the kids will help with that.

Imagine another man tries to get in on you first, acting like a rival if not the exact enemy of the dad. Always around when he is, making sure to rub it in however he can when at the lumber yard or in town when he’s getting groceries.

Sweet talking you, doting on you and even the kids while the dad seethes and tries to hold back the urge to use his ax on a human.

Even having the audacity to say “those kids see you as a good parent figure. Not a surprise since their dad isn’t anywhere near that”.

Just some nice rivalry to add some spice 💕
