Amazon Canada, who I thought already had a good deal on my book, The Guide To Kimono, has SLASHED THE PRICE EVEN FURTHER! It is now a whopping 50% OFF! I can't even buy my own book from the publisher for that cheap! Needless to say, this is an EXCELLENT time to grab it while you can!
What's going on with MGA? Why is it that ever since the RA rerelease I cannot find out where Bratz dolls are being sold here in Canada? Why aren't MGA keeping us updated with Bratz Sweetheart Meygan? LookinBratz a site that's not connected to MGA has kept us better updated than the company. I apologize if I sound rude but MGA needs to do better.
When I look at twitter its mostly Americans who are talking about American prices for the doll but I see no one talk about what the heck is going in Canada for these dolls or anywhere else.
I couldn't even find HOLIDAY FELICIA on Amazon.ca when she came out and most of the stuff MGA posted was about the first edition rereleases like we get it, we know they have been out but what about the dolls you are putting out currently? Why aren't you keeping us updated? And constantly reminding us about them? Why are you being quiet? I shouldn't be having to hear from random folks on how a doll is out, I should be hearing this from the COMPANY!
But I feel as though because I am Canadian and everyone is so hyped for this Sweetheart Meygan doll that my message won't be heard but MGA SHOULD be called out for how they aren't doing a good job at notifying us about stuff but than again they also don't notify about new toys on their regular insta either.
When you put out a product and you want people to buy it, you make sure you talk about it and notify people instead of keeping quiet. It's so odd how they were social when RA came out and GCDS came out but after that they have just been so bad at telling us what's going on.
When the Pullip doll company talks about a new doll they post at least three photos with the doll so it's not hard to miss but MGA doesn't do that. They need to work on their social media better especially their insta.
Like even Mattel is doing a better job because they are constantly reminding us. I hate having to compare and I love Bratz but I feel like I will never get my hands on more dolls especially since idk where they will be sold in Canada and if they will even be on shelves which imo is a better option than Amazon but maybe that's just me...
Anyways I apologize for this rant but I am so confused and upset about how MGA is doing things at the moment and I hope they try something different.
Amazon confirms a second worker at its Bolton, Ontario warehouse has now tested positive for COVID-19
Amazon has restored some of its pre-pandemic sick leave policies even as multiple workers at one of the company’s Toronto-area warehouses have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to an internal text message obtained by PressProgress, Amazon notified workers last week that it had “confirmed” a second worker had tested positive for COVID-19 at the company’s warehouse in Bolton, Ontario where workers have been speaking out about working conditions.
“We have one additional confirmed case of COVID-19 at YYZ7,” states the internal Amazon text message. “The last day the affected individual was on site was 4/17.”
“No more than two cases have been reported at this site,” an Amazon spokesperson later told PressProgress.
The timing of the new positive case of COVID-19 is somewhat awkward for Amazon, which also issued an internal memo at the end of last month notifying workers its old “attendance policy returns on May 1.”
“The deadline to apply for a (Personal Leave of Absence) for certain COVID-19 circumstances is tomorrow,” the April 28 memo obtained by PressProgress states. “To request a PLOA starting May 1, please apply by midnight tomorrow night.”
The company noted that while personal leave will no longer be paid, they have “expanded our unpaid Personal Leave of Absence policy to include COVID-19 circumstances (such as high risk individuals or school closures).”
In a statement to PressProgress, Amazon confirmed that workers worried about their health are no longer able to take extended unpaid leaves of absence.

Union says the e-commerce giant violated Employee Standards Act
A union representing Ontario couriers delivering packages for Amazon.com Inc., are alleging the e-commerce giant engaged in unfair labour practices that resulted in the termination of employees, the closure of one courier company's Mississauga operations and the bankruptcy of another.
In a series of applications filed with the Ontario Labour Relations Board in July, initially reported on by The Logic, the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Canada Local 175 accused Amazon subsidiary Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services Inc., of using its control over sub-contractors to create a "chilling effect" meant to influence them to not "support, assist or co-operate with" the organization of a union.
The union is seeking a declaration that Amazon violated the Employment Standards Act and is demanding it reinstate and compensate laid-off courier drivers from two subcontracted companies for lost wages.
Amazon, which has expanded its network of warehouses across Canada in recent years, said in documents it filed that it "categorically denies" the allegations and that the claims have "no basis in fact."
[...]
Documents say All Canadian Final Mile's employees began a union drive in November 2017 and shortly after Amazon reduced the company's five shifts per day to three, its 12-hour shifts to 10-hour shifts and its number of routes from 25 to about 12.
From December 2017 to February 2017, the documents allege couriers were receiving emails from All Canadian Final Mile saying the company had "fewer routes than usual" and a "really low" volume of work.
The documents also explain the reductions were initially blamed on the Christmas rush being over and the start of the year's slow period, but by June, couriers got an email announcing the immediate closure of the company's Mississauga operation due to "unstable and declining volumes." The workers were allegedly placed on permanent layoff.
DEC's union drive began in June 2017 and resulted in the company's owners allegedly warning employees that if they did things Amazon did not like, Amazon would take work away from DEC.
