Tempest is the daughter of Queen Hippolyta, the princess of the Amazons and half-sister of Alcippe. One of Ares’ beloved grandchildren, she inherited his temper and hatred towards entitled Demi-gods. She idolizes her aunt Penthesilea ever since she was a child, determined to be like her when growing up. Tempest first appeared as one of few Heracles developed a crush on prior to his meeting with Megara. However, she didn’t like him at first, because his occasional clumsiness led to disasters or bothered her greatly. But, over time, she begins to view him as a friend. At one episode “Heracles and the Grecian Idol”, she was seen among the audience cheering for Orpheus who sang his number at the music competition. Turns out, Tempest had a secret crush on Orpheus but hid it anyway, so he’d be happy with his life as a singer and his romance with Eurydice.
In episode “Heracles and the Battle Royale” where all hero trainees’ strengths are to be tested in their later years of Prometheus Hero Academia in the arena of Sparta, Tempest was in the Amazon team knocking down her opponents with calculative strategy and brute strength, impressing Spartan students. When her last opponent Helen attempted to play victim in the battle to arouse sympathy from others, Tempest was disgusted and decided to provoke her; calling her “attention addict” and “the weak link and disgrace of warrior nation of Sparta” before telling her off to “go play dolls with nimble-minded cronies”, just so the Spartan Princess can freely combat without caring about the role of tragic heroine she was so obsessed of. This was successful as Helen chose to fight. However, compared to Helen who had done tracking field and wrestling as basic training in Sparta, Tempest had done more through Minoan boxing, spear-fight, swordfighting as well and earned her victory. Another episode “Heracles and the Field Day” takes place where Heracles, Tempest and others are assigned to guide Year 1 students of Prometheus Hero Academia, and it turns out she handles children well as she secretly gushes over them. When several bullies picked on little Alex, she was one of the trainees to defend the boy. At one point, Tempest took part as Prometheus Academia Year 1 Camp scout counselor, in charge of sports events. When being asked about children, she admitted she thought of having a family but threatened Heracles to tell no one about it.
At the Trojan War arc, she and other Amazon warriors were led by Penthisilea and battled against the Greeks, siding with Trojans. As a spy at the same time, she even had a fake name Tereis to gain information. Hearing her aunt was defeated, Tempest and other warriors demanded to know the one who took down her aunt, learning it was Achilles. Enraged, they all fought against him but were unable to subdue him as Tempest was held captive as a war prisoner. By the time the Trojan war ended, she was found by Menelaus, the king of Mycannaean-Sparta. Tempest offered herself as a prisoner or war prize in exchange for her warriors’ freedom, to which Menelaus accepted the deal. However, even in Sparta, Tempest’s intolerance of injustice didn’t fade as she took part in helping him restore his citizens’ lives for the better and even bonded with Hermione, a daughter of Menelaus and Helen. Learning that the young princess felt neglected by her mother and felt like a tool to make her feel better, Tempest felt sympathy and maternal fondness towards her. Hired as Hermione’s bodyguard, but the two formed a genuine mother-daughter relationship, but also went through the subtle intimate tensions between herself and Menelaus.
