#FBF to days spent on the Tahuayo River Basin with friends during our trip to the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest through @amazoniaexpeditions during the dry season in September of 2015. With water levels incredibly low, we slowly made our way up the Tahuayo tributary from the main lodge to the ARC where we would spend the remainder or our trip. The Tahuayo River Amazon Research Center is more secluded and offers a higher chance of wildlife sightings. On the way there I swapped lenses with our main guide, Gerlo, who loved taking photographs. He was incredibly excited to use the Canon 100-400 and wouldn't give it back to me the rest of the boat ride. The most mega-diverse region in all of the Amazon may be the Area de Conservacion Regional Comunal de Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo, and Amazonia Expeditions is the only facility in this region.
