Omg is it too late to gush about how much I love Mission: Redacted and how much I love every single installment of Security Issues and just how much I love you and your writing in general???
I love you, you absolutely superior human being! It is never too late to tell me nice things about me, even though I am Very Bad at Receiving Compliments.
Mission: Redacted was so much fun to write but also like... such a growth moment for me from start to finish. I sent a shitty, terrible ‘draft’ to @chronicwhimsy and y’all when I tell you that I would not be writing today if this interaction had not occurred I mean that I literally would not be writing.
She took an AWFUL draft that had a kernel of a good idea in it, and she sent it back with such a kind but pointed critique and then spent literal months helping me flesh it out and beta reading it, and in the end it’s a story that I am so very proud of and worked so very hard on and nothing I have written since would exist without this story.
Anyway, Chronicwhimsy is my villain origin story.
Also, Security Issues would not exist without YOU @amberlyinviolet because I definitely would not have had the courage to post it without your expert input and validation, and it would not be nearly as good as it is without you.
Writing doesn’t exist in a vacuum for me (or for many others, I suspect) and the support and encouragement I have received from other writers has and continues to be a kindness I can never repay.
