Today's Gender of the Day is: Pandrogyne!
Pandrogyny is the idea of neutralizing gender as a potential future for the human species, and is the conscious embracing of gender roles, sexual orientations, or cultural traditions so as to render the person’s original identity completely indecipherable. It predates the term ambinique, which is the blending and blurring of society's gender expectations and gender roles into a uniquely new future gender - one focuses on the eradication of gender while the other focuses on an entirely new type of gender.
"Pandrogyny" comes from the words pan- for "all" and androgyny, but it goes far beyond the idea of its root words and is not the same as androgyny or being an androgyne.
While it is technically a neutral identity, it goes beyond the idea of being transgender or gender nonconforming - thus, it can't quite be called a nonbinary identity, but rather an anti-binary identity. It is seen as an art form that transforms the body into something new and transcends the gender binary. When identities blend to become one idea that is separate and indistinguishable from the original, that is pandrogyny.
(Note: Pandrogyny is the noun form, pandrogynous is the adjective, and pandrogyne is the word for a pandrogynous person.)
Gender Buddy: Ambinique (106/120)
Level: 4 Element: Cosmic FRND: 50 PWR: 216
Abilities: Flutter: A graceful flap of the wings and this Buddy is floating effortlessly through the skies. Stardust Burst: A colorful way for floating or flying Buddies to propel themselves.
Bio: When traveling through the brightest, most colorful parts of deep space, this is the Buddy you're most likely to see. Its six wings carry it from galaxy to galaxy (with a little bit of help from teleportation powers!) It enjoys twirling and spinning through stardust, which covers its body and gives it an almost sparkly look. It prefers to keep its distance and travel alone, but it doesn’t mind making friends with the comets!

Today's Gender of the Day is: Ambinique!
Ambinique is a gender that results from society’s gender roles, stereotypes, and expectations being mixed and blurred over time into something entirely new and unique. Ambinique is a type of aporagender, its qualities being separated from the idea of female, male, and anything in between while still feeling gendered. As such, this identity cannot be considered androgynous in any way, but it can involve fluidity or fluctuation. Ambinique can also be combined with other genders to create a multigender identity.
This identity is similar to ambonec, where an individual will identify as male, female, and neither at the same time.
(Please note that the only reliable source for this identity is a coining post reblogged by BMPF from a user who is now inactive, and the term does not have its own Wiki page anywhere.)
Can we take the time to learn a new gender term today? I think if we reached out to learn more about someone else's experiences, we would have a better understanding of our own community and the people who make it what it is. We may even discover something new about ourselves if we looked up new terminology.
For me, I learned what ambinique is, which is a term to describe all of society's gender expectations, stereotypes, and roles blending and mixing together over time to create a new kind of gender. It's kind of like ambonec!
What about you? Did you learn about a new kind of identity that you've never heard of before?
