There are aspects of ambisexuality that we have only glimpsed or guessed at, and which we may never grasp entirely. The kemmer phenomenon fascinates all of us Investigators, of course. It fascinates us, but it rules the Gethenians, dominates them. The structure of their societies, the management of their industry, agriculture, commerce, the size of their settlements, the subjects of their stories, everything is shaped to fit the somer-kemmer cycle. Everybody has his holiday once a month; no one, whatever his position, is obliged or forced to work when in kemmer. No one is barred from the kemmerhouse, however poor or strange. Everything gives way before the recurring torment and festivity of passion. This is easy for us to understand. What is very hard for us to understand is that, four-fifths of the time, these people are not sexually motivated at all. Room is made for sex, plenty of room; but a room, as it were, apart. The society of Gethen, in its daily functioning and in its continuity, is without sex. Consider: Anyone can turn his hand to anything. This sounds very simple, but its psychological effects are incalculable. The fact that everyone between seventeen and thirty-five or so is liable to be (as Nim put it) “tied down to childbearing,” implies that no one is quite so thoroughly “tied down” here as women, elsewhere, are likely to be—psychologically or physically. Burden and privilege are shared out pretty equally; everybody has the same risk to run or choice to make. Therefore nobody here is quite so free as a free male anywhere else. Consider: A child has no psycho-sexual relationship to his mother and father. There is no myth of Oedipus on Winter. Consider: There is no unconsenting sex, no rape. As with most mammals other than man, coitus can be performed only by mutual invitation and consent; otherwise it is not possible. Seduction certainly is possible, but it must have to be awfully well timed. Consider: There is no division of humanity into strong and weak halves, protective/protected, dominant/submissive, owner/chattel, active/passive. In fact the whole tendency to dualism that pervades human thinking may be found to be lessened, or changed, on Winter.

The best idea of gender utopia I have read.
The medieval Muslim world in which Rumi lived, was “ambisexual,” meaning that men were expected to marry, but also to love boys and/ or have “intense friendships” with other men. Because Rumi never wrote anything to the contrary, we can assume that their relationship was chaste. Seyyid Hossein Nasr would say, “Shams was like the sun, and Rumi was like the sea; as the Sun passed quickly overhead, its gravitational force drew great waves of love from the sea, which cast up pearls upon the shore.” Shams was the beloved, Rumi the lover. Shams was Rumi’s muse. But more than that, “Shams and Rumi were friends.” This passionate friendship allowed Rumi to mature spiritually, but it was Shams’ absence and Rumi’s longing for his friend that transformed him. After Shams second and final disappearance, Rumi was devastated, and several years passed before he gave up hope of seeing his friend again. During this period of his life, Rumi became one of the greatest poets of the Persian language.

Hello! I have uploaded this video, because I thought that it is a relatively current issue. At the time lots of people and teenagers worry about their appearance. Many are unhappy with themselves, others look slightly inclined, because it's their simply style. There are some girls who struggle with their weight problems or lose weight. I wasn't satisfied with my look, too, but I signed up just for the swimming and basketball club and now I'm at least a little sporty. Also, I'm trying to moderate me, but not so that I can eat anything at dinner. Often it is, with me that I after eating, still hungry, even though I've packed away a proper dish. So I drink water often and much. It also helps my constant hunger. I would give those as a tip, who have this problem. Also, there are many people who liked to style theirselves. They have Iroquois and make-up, boys as well as girls. But therefore you should not so goofy staring at her. It's just her style, and they wear it because they feel better or they like it more. This is approximately the same as little girls that steal the lipstick from the mother because they like their lips red. And if you see a guy with eyeliner on and who wears a black leather coat, then you get a queasy feeling. You don't know him, so don't judge about him. Maybe he is a funny guy with whom you can make fun things. Or homosexual couples: I've honestly general a problem, if people are licking each other in public, so it doesn't matter whether they are heterosexual or homosexual people. If you have a problem with that, then you simply ignore it and get upset at home, where no one is about, but you shouldn't destroy the happiness of these simple people. I mean, just imagine, we live in a world where it's perfectly normal to be gay, but some find it bad, if you're heterosexual. How would you feel then, if anyone criticized your instincts and your simple feelings? That's probably not very great. (The same applies also to bisexuality.)
Or the color of the skin: there are so many people who think that people who are Asian or have a different skin color, represent low creatures. I mean, sure, I know about 300 years ago the black people were slaves but HEY!, we live here in the 21st century! People come to the present! Now, this is a modern world in which everyone is equal. Each is characterized by his own special abilities. I don't know how it's going, but whenever I see black people, I find them automatically sympathetic. I don't know why, but inherited I don't, because my grandmother doesn't like black people and my mom feels a certain dislike of Asians. Clearly, there are also dark-skinned or Asian people who are not nice or have some negative traits, but that doesn't mean that everyone else is too! Everyone is unique and distinguishes itself by its personal strengths and weaknesses! It makes me sick, that people bully other people because they look different or because they ONLY are different!

Hello, everyone! This is a brand new blog designed to raise awareness of those sexualities, races, and genders which are usually erased. It is also designed to be a safe space for everyone of color.
This blog is currently looking for moderators to help moderate (please check our application page on the blog), and for submitters to give us content. We are also currently seeking any of the following sexualities to submit topics they would like us to discuss, or raise awareness of:
Asexuality
Graysexuality/Gray-asexuality
Polysexuality
Bisexuality
Demisexuality
Monosexuality
Omnisexuality
Pomosexuality
Ambisexuality
We are planning to do a PowerPoint series on mini, simplified "guides" to understanding each of these sexualities to those who are ignorant of them. Please help us out. You WILL be credited for the content you provide.
