Lovino is an iced coffee girly and it pisses Alfred off like all hell. Vi will pull up for his date w Alfred and Tolys with a large iced coffee and Alfred will be REVOLTED. He will refuse to kiss Vi the entire time. Tolys finds it hilarious but he can't laugh bc he loves them too much.

Alfred can't say anything. He drinks 5 cups of black coffee a day and it's the only way he functions.

I see it more platonically but i would probably read it anyway. I like the idea of Liet and Romano bonding.

One thing though that i cannot stand in most Ameliet works is that they portray America as some saviour and life in America is just sunshine and rainbows. Maybe it feels this way as my own ancestors were immigrants during this time period and I have gone through enough documents that show just how chaotic it was in both America and back home. I feel like it would be more interesting if more works got into the struggles of immigrants during that period and how that would impact Alfred and Liet's relationship.

I've seen a few fics do this and it's quite good one I really enjoyed is this one by @pokytoad . And shout out to @ask-the-hws-immigrants they do a great job of this.
