i agree i love the old episodes because they were fun and light and it felt like each character was special and now it’s just like everyone is Generic Badass (with Occasional Jokes)

EXACTLY

as a person who's always more interested in characters than plots i loved the beginning of the show because the characters had time to be developed individually like jemma and fitz in fzzt, skye in the asset and girl in the flower dress, ward and may in the well and repairs, etc, and now we not only have a bigger storyline in which not only not all of them are included (fitz and jemma had no clue what was happening up until this team meeting in the end of tonight's episode whatsoever), but also there are a ton of new characters whom i love but it technically means even less screentime for the original main characters
