The moment when you have a pretty good starter with Seychelles on omegle, and everyone disconnects from you! Ugh! Hopefully, there's a silver lining, and someone might do an AmerSey rp with me. One can hope.

Nyotalia: The Independent Women (And men)

To make up for the lateness of this rant, I give you the Nyotalia characters! I know I shouldn't be grouping them up like this, but they all face the same problems. Also, there isn't much known about the characters to give them their own individual posts. But let's get this rant started.

Now I'm going to be honest. When I first came to the the fandom, I hated Nyotalia. Now this was before I found out about the Hetalia Archives, and read the manga, and only watched the anime. Because of those things, I just assumed that they were genderbends that people made up because they didn't want to ship yaoi.

But after I read the manga and went on Hetalia archives, I've come to known, respect, and love the Nyotalia characters. Though some designs I don't necessarily agree with (Nyo Britain's), I've come to deal with the designs, and just went with it.

I think the Nyotalia characters are hated (especially the female), because people who haven't read the manga, or know fully about the Nyotalia characters think they're just genderbends made up by people who didn't want to ship yaoi.

Now if you guys who hate Nyotalia for that reason don't know, the Nyotalia characters AREN'T genderbended. They came from a parallel universe that was discovered by Estonia. These characters are their own person, and are quite different than their counterparts. Let's take for example, Nyotalia Italy. The Italy we all know and love is a huge crybaby that runs away from anything he believes is dangerous (I.e Britain). Now Nyotalia Italy is courageous, gorgeous, and takes things head on. In the comic, she takes on Nyotalia Britain by herself. She kicks ass. Does that sound like something Italy would do? I think not.

Well that's one huge reason why the Nyotalia females get hate. Another is the same reason the other female countries get hate: For coming in between a pairing. That is the most stupidest, ridiculous, reason to hate a character. I'm going back to my girl hate post, but it's true.

Like I said many many many times, no pairing is canon with the exception of ChibitaliaxHoly Roman Empire. And I know some GerIta and Spamano fans said their pairing is canon because of a specific comic, but USUK fans say the same thing as so on and so on. But you can ship whatever the hell you want. I ship Spain and Belgium, and the even rarer America and Seychelles (AmerSey fans represent). And sometimes, I ship Nyotalia Britain with France or Prussia, or at times, Spain.

Because I ship Nyotalia Britain with Prussia, does that mean I'm going against my OTP? Hell no. Nyotalia Britain is her own character, and will be paired up with everyone like any other character in this fandom. Therefore, not everyone will ship the same thing.

USUK/FRUK (Nyo! or otherwise) fans shouldn't bash on fans who ship Britain with someone else (And that goes for America and France as well)

GerIta (Nyo! or otherwise) fans shouldn't bash on fans who ship Italy and Germany with other people.

Spamano (Nyo! or otherwise) fans shouldn't bash on fans who ship Spain and Romano with other people. (I also ship Romano with Liechtenstein.)

And so forth.

And before I forget, if you write a story with a female version of a male character that has an unchanged personality, or basically the same personality as the male version, that is a genderbend. I hate seeing Nyo!(insert character here), when they're the female version of the male character. That is not Nyotalia. That is a genderbend. There's a difference between the two. Learn it, Live it, Love it.

Does anyone like ship AmerSey? That pairing is like nonexistent in the Hetalia fandom, and it would be great to find some people who ship it?
