AMoB Live!
I will be playing my first live AMoB set in 3 years next Friday in Fargo, ND. Pumped!
Our upcoming album 'You're Never Too Old For Teenage Heartache' is a concept album. It revolves around a character we are calling The Date Night Stalker. I find the idea of being a stalker, or having a stalker to be somewhat romantic. It's kind of sick, and I would never wish a stalker upon anyone, but really, if you have a stalker, you will probably never have anyone else in your life that obsesses over you that much ever again. If you are a stalker ... you feel such strong intense emotions toward someone that you can't have, you feel like you are getting you're heart broken over and over again. The Date Night Stalker is more than a stalker, they are also a serial killer ... taking their obsession one step too far...but what happens when you murder the thing you love? The DNS is a symbol. It represents the turmoil of all relationships really. We are all The Date Night Stalker or the victim in one way or another. We are infusing our music with the only thing we get just as much of a kick out of ... horror movies. The idea of creating your very own slasher/serial killer has always been a fantasy of mine ... through this album, I feel in an indirect way we are actually getting to do it! The relationship between The Date Night Stalker and their victims is something we can all get something out of if we pay close enough attention. It's a fun ride for music and horror fans alike and we cannot wait to share it with everyone!

Pop punk? Minor threat? What kinda music do you like? Tell me about your band.
Hi there!
I have always had a hard time explaining what we sound like ... I can tell you that these are some of our biggest influences and that at the very least we hope that someone who enjoys any of these bands might be able to take something away from AMoB:
Coheed and Cambria/The Prize Fighter Inferno, Deftones/Team Sleep/Crosses, Sleigh Bells, Head Automatica, etc.
It's really simple rock guitar riffs ... combined with programmed drums/beats and synth. Vocally my biggest influences are Claudio Sanchez, Chino Moreno and Daryl Palumbo, so you can expect unique high male vocals that aren't really exactly like anything you have probably ever heard before ... for better or worse. ;)
We don't claim to be 'the same' or 'as good' as any of the above mentioned groups or people, but they are all very key players in our sound development and inspirational to both of us. We are a low-budget, unsigned, non-touring act that is really just having a great time making music together without any big expectations. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the message! Adam - AMoB
keep my shirt and for what it's worth i'll promise stars to you
