Ami’s Catalog Overhaul - Seasons

Seasons was requested to be the next pack I upload, so here it is! 🍁🍂🌷

Information about this project is in the introduction post. The guidelines for cataloging can be found there, but some will be listed below.

Recommended mods that complement this mod are -  my Pack Icon Hider mod and a cc icon override.

To install, just plop the package file anywhere in the Mods folder (or unzip the zip file first if you didn’t download the merged file).

Example of the difference (a small, but important one!):

Some of the changes are:

Merged the seasonal seed packs into one catalog entry

All the skating rinks are under *activities > active* only

Added the umbrella rack to *indoor activities* and *storage > dressers*, and removed from *deco > misc* (it is still under *deco > clutter*, tough)

Removed the decoration box from *outdoor activities*, and in the decorations category moved to *clutter* instead of *misc*

The gift piles are in *deco > clutter* instead of *deco > misc*

The christmas trees are only in *lights > misc*, *decorations > sculptures* and *indoor activities*

Moved the scouting board from *activities > creative* to *activities > indoor*

The thermostat is in the begining of electronics-misc category (where the clocks usually are)

The weather machine is in *activities > outdoor + knowledge* instead of *activities > outdoor + misc*

Fixed the pricing and categories of the sofas that were mixed-up

Merged the 4 food stalls to one square and moved to *activities > misc* only

Shuffled around some decorations and lights

Merged the 3 scouting trophies into one square

Merged some decorations from pther packs that have the same mesh into one square (pics below)

and some other small things...

Most of the work on this pack was ordering all the scratches, holes, stains and cobwebs.

Some of the changes are:

Merged a lot of the holes, scratches, cobwebs and stains together, priced them 0$, and moved to *decoration > misc*

So instead of this:

We have this:

Hid the pedestal+statue sets from the catalog

Merged the headstones with the base game ones

Moved the baby crib to *kids > misc*

Moved the stone bench to the *benches* category

Moved around some decoration items as I saw fit

and some other small things...

Ami’s Catalog Overhaul - City Living

Oohh City Living, the one that inspired this entire project, and not in a good way. The one where Maxis wanted to play with item descriptions, so they went ahead and separated (almost) every. Single. Painting. Swatch. *eye twitching*

And so, today we are going from this:

Updates: — *June 2022*  Added the gaming consoles to the “computers” category

Some of the changes are:

Manually fixed the thumbnails of this rug to not have that horrible background:

Merged all those separate paintings (and one statue), which are the same item, into one square. 

While I was there, fixed the price of two paintings that were confused:

Merged all the food stalls into two squares (city food stalls and uptown food stalls), and moved them to “activities” > ”misc” only, as I don’t usually open food stalls in my back yard

Moved the sales stalls to “activities” > ”misc” only

Hid the bubble blower sets that had chairs attached

Moved the podiums to “knowledge”

The benches are only in the “benches” category

Scooted the picnic tables over to sit closer to the other outdoor tables in “misc tables”

The signs, as always, have been moved to “decorations” > “misc”

and some other small things...

Less Trashy Dumpster Bed

I swear at this point I’m only making CC to make pretty pictures  (◔_◔)

I saw a request for a less filthy recolor of the Eco Lifestyle bed that you can find in the dumpster, so here it is.

(Might edit later with more recolors)

There are three files to choose from (+PSD for recolors). So you can override the originals or just add the standalone version.

If you make recolors using my PSD, please tag me and don’t place behind paywalls or ads. Let me know if there are any problems!

CC Wrench Override - Subtle Icon

This is a replacement of the gigantic wrench icon that shows on all custom content 🔧

I wanted to make a barely-there replacement for the wrench - small enough that it doesn’t distract me, but enough to see if the item is cc.

Comfy Leggings

Wanted to layer the new Eco Living leggings with some cute shorts and then realized they're actually a bottom? Well, fret no more! I even added a bunch of swatches because the originals were too few and too sad.

Feel free to recolor or whatever, you don’t need to include the mesh - just credit me if you use it (and tag me!). Also, please don’t place behind paywalls or ads. Let me know if there are any problems!

Eco Lifestyle Jackets De-Patched

Some of the new items in the Eco Lifestyle pack are really nice, but I find the swatches not very... usable. It was not an easy task, but now I have some cute, much more versatile denim jackets.

There are two files for download: a standalone version and an override version (in case you want to completely replace the patchy jackets). You can have both files in the game without breaking, but it would be very pointless.

Feel free to recolor with credit, but please do not place behind paywalls or ads. Let me know if there are any problems!

Ami’s Catalog Overhaul - Cats and Dogs

Here comes the Cats and Dogs catalog order woooo! Also, I have a Patreon now! No need to worry about SimFileShare misbehaving any more! (I will continue to upload to sfs as well).

I’ve been uploading really slowly, even though most of the work is already done (I work on all packs simultaneously). It’s writing the actual tumblr posts is what takes all my mental energy. Anyway. let’s get straight to it~
