What time are the mods usually on Skype? Because I think Toasty wanted to talk to me about my sketches but I keep missing them whenever they're online.
I’m on around afternoon mountain time on weekdays and on the computer for almost the whole day on weekends. I’ll make sure to have Skype open on a daily basis from now on
Toastyhat is on the computer most of the time, it’s just a matter of her staying in the chat long enough to contact anyone.
When panel sketches are due, can we submit 2 or 3 different ones to get feedback on what composition is better?
That is something people have done in the past and it can be very helpful! I think I speak for both of us when I say we’d love to see your ideas and give you feedback, although it may only really come together when all the sketches start appearing in the preview post.
amimia-p answered to your post “Does science disprove the existance of a god?”
The more science uncovers, the more complex and awesome the world is revealed to be, and I think that proves God had to make it all imo.
that's the angle i was approaching this speech topic! and like some people i hear think that science and religion can relate at all, which i think is dumb because like you said, the more we discover about this world and the space around us the more is shows how amazing God's design is and just how complex we all are.

WARNINGS- CONTAINS BLOOD AND SLIGHTLY GRUESOME
Riku slowly opened his eyes. The fifteen year old barely remembered what happened. There was… a green glow… and then that robed guy… and he was getting closer… suddenly his eyes snapped wide opened and the undeniable sting of guilt stabbed his heart. What… what had he done…?
Slowly his body regained feeling… and what he felt he didn’t like. He was lying on some sort of cold slab but as his eyes adjusted he saw it was made of pure darkness. Riku raised his head but all attempts to move his arms and legs from the star fish spread position proved useless. He was lying on his stomach with black tendrils bound tightly around his wrist and ankles.
The teenager panicked especially when he realized his shirt was missing too. Tears pricked the corners of his eyes but he forced them back. This was no time to cry. He had his pants on so… that was a little relief… but not much… He then heard soft footsteps slowly approaching. Riku glanced back doing his best to see however his shoulder blades blurred the image slightly.
“W-who are you?!” Riku shouted in a vain attempt to sound tough despite the stutter.
The figure walked closer donning a long coat with several buttons and belts and lined with gold trimmings. Since this whole place was just a black void, he had no idea how high up the slab was until he was staring straight on at his captor’s torso; specifically the heartless insignia that decorated the castle at Hollow Bastion. Painfully, Riku craned his neck up trying to see his captor’s face… which soon he deeply regretted.
The man was tall with dark skin and thin sharp face… and plastered across his face was an undeniable predatory smile that shot chills down Riku’s spine. The worst part… was he look vaguely familiar… but Riku couldn’t place where or why.
“I have to thank you child…” He bent down to Riku’s level so they were eye to eye- petting his short silver hair. “ You gave me my body back.”
For the third time, Riku’s eyes widened. No… he couldn’t be… that robed man… the one he knew from his childhood? The one who helped him in Hollow Bastion? “A-Ansem…?”
“One and the same.” Ansem purred slowly moving behind Riku’s line of sight.
A pit dropped into Riku’s gut. He had no idea why this was painful knowledge. Maybe he always pictured in his head Ansem was a gentle being who would never tie him down and steal his body. Again those thoughts of fear crept into his mind. What was he planning on doing now that Riku was restrained? Was he… oh god was he planning on…?
“Now don’t be daft child. You mean be extremely beautiful… but rape is beneath me.” Ansem replied stroking Riku’s shoulder blades causing the boy to shiver under his cold leather gloves.
Well… guess that was a little relief…wait… he never voiced those fears… how…?
“You and I are connected. My heart now resides in yours and I can hear and see everything you are thinking. In fact that’s where we are right now. This is the vast darkness of your heart.” Ansem explained. “And I’m going to forge one more link between us.”
Riku started to struggle again. He did not like the sound of that. Maybe Ansem wasn't going to rape or kill him… but there was still other traumatizing tortures the heartless could put him through. The harder he pulled on the darkness, the tighter it wrapped around his wrists and ankles; threatening to cut off the circulation.
“Shh, shh…” Ansem cooed placing his cold hand on Riku’s back to still him. Riku was forced to relax but he continued to shake in fear realizing he was completely at Ansem’s mercy… oh why did he have to be such an idiot? Everyone warned him about the darkness… and he just didn’t listen! Now he was possessed by a madman who was using his body for God knows what. A tray was wheeled around and Riku held his breath wondering what was on it.
“Do you remember… in those old pirate stories I used to read to you? How buried treasure was always marked by an X?” Ansem picked something up; something metallic by the sound of it.
The silverette shook on the cold table but managed a nod fearing what Ansem might do while he was in this vulnerable position.
“Well we are trying to find 13 very special treasures… and you’re one of them.” The sound of rustling clothes was heard and soon Ansem was standing in front of Riku, a few feet away this time, revealing a large X carved into Ansem’s hip and abdomen.
Being a smart kid, Riku put two and two together. “N-No! No please don’t! I promise to behave!” It wasn’t like him to beg… but he knew scarring in this world took a lot. It would have to be deep and painful to prevent even potions and magic to fix it.
“It’s going to be okay.” However the heartless’s grin was not reassuring. He slipped his undercoat back on but kept his gloves off. “It will hurt, yes, but then I’ll be able to keep an eye on you wherever you go… and no one will ever be able to hurt you again.”
A small scalpel flashed in Ansem’s hands as he slowly walked behind Riku’s view again. Riku struggled more ignoring the pain. He knew if he could endure this pain, he could avoid what was next to come. The first cut was cold as it bit into his pale flesh. Riku bit his lip holding back a scream as Ansem dragged the thin razor from the top of his right shoulder, across his shoulder blades and down to the center of his back. The next cut stung like fire and ice.
Ansem started from the top of Riku’s left shoulder blade and pulled across to his right side. Riku swore the blade was deeper this time as he felt blood seeping through the wounds; rolling down his back and side. Ansem sat back examining his artwork. Riku was quivering in pain. Blood dripped from his lip from how hard he was biting. The heartless smirked. He leaned down again and lapped up a few drops of the rich red blood.
That caused Riku to yelp. Ansem’s tongue was ice cold. Ansem smirked licking his lips. Blood was just essentially heart juice. It was so warm and full of life. Ansem considered a moment he might be part vampire but merely laughed it off. He was far from done. A small little cut was not enough. The next thing Riku felt was heat. He glanced back and his heart jumped seeing Ansem holding what looked like a branding device in the shape of a large X. The platform was lowered to where Riku was almost on the ground. He started to struggle but Ansem’s boot on his right upper arm held him painfully still.
“Don’t want to mess this up now… I’d have to do it again…” Ansem casted a fire spell on the edge of the metal making it glow red.
Riku screamed.
Riku screamed bloody murder as the hot metal seared his flesh. The worst part was it seemed to contort to his body making sure the mark was a perfect X. The pain was intense. No words could describe the feeling. His fingers curled as he shook in pain. The screams faded to sobs and Ansem pulled the hot iron away tearing one final scream from Riku’s lips as more skin was torn away.
Tears rolled freely from his eyes as he howled in pain. The blood had dried but it burned. It burned so badly. Every twitch of his muscles hurt. When he tried to hold still it hurt. He felt so hot but he didn’t want to move to try and cool off. Ansem set the now cooled rod to the side and raised the platform again. The bonds were released and Riku’s arms just slumped down the side. A few more tears rolled down his face but no more sounds were made.
Ansem gently pet his hair in almost a comforting manner. Riku wanted to pull away but all his energy had been sapped. He wanted to yell and scream but he had no more voice. Ansem examined his work. A perfect X across the right side of his back. Ansem’s cold fingers ghosted the mark causing Riku to shiver. Admittedly the cold felt good. The heartless smirked, pleased with this reaction.
Gently he placed his hand in the center of the scar. Riku winced but then relaxed as he felt something cooling spreading over the deep burn. Riku glanced back, his eyes too tired to widen seeing the darkness spreading over his back and seeping into his skin. He then felt very, very tired. His eyes began to droop. No… he couldn’t sleep now… he had to fight… he had to get his body back!
Sora… I’m so sorry… Please forgive me…
~*~
Riku sighed looking over his shoulder staring into the mirror at his back. He had just stepped out of the shower and caught that hideous mark on his back. He wanted to cry every time he saw. The painful memory was too much to bear. Sora, Kairi and him had just arrived home not 2 weeks ago… but Riku was careful to hide his back. He never went swimming anymore; at least not without a thick dark shirt. He didn’t want anyone to see…
Ok I saw that contact lens post freaked you out a little and I thought I'd reassure you. I've never worn cosplay lenses so they're probably a bit different but I've worn perscription lenses everyday for 4 years. I've worn ripped or dried out lenses by accident before and the worst I've gotten is a scratch on my eye that healed itself in 48 hours, and it just stung a little. You should definitely follow those rules and be careful but if you screw up once you probably won't cause permanent damage.
//Oh, okay. Thank you SO much for telling me this, but i still believe it will take some time till i use lenses.
