A small glimmer of light broke through the water's surface. Ansem paused to look up at it. A burning sensation began to well up in his chest. Sharks had to keep swimming forward as their way of breathing. That must be what this new feeling was. Merely scientific logic.
Surely Light wouldn't invoke the feeling of yearning or loneliness in Ansem the Seeker of Darkness. It most certainly didn't remind him of a keyblade master whom slipped his grasp. Or make it face the reality that Ansem's fate was different from his destiny.
Ansem couldn't tear himself away from the sight. Even as the burning became painful. Then the water undulated around him. And with that the light was gone and Ansem was left with nothing but the cold dark ocean once more.
