(If Shadow draws in lots of chaos energy too does. Does that mean his presence while wearing his inhibitors meant there was a lot more loose energy??? Was. Was his presence activling making things worse before Sonic got his inhibitors? Would anyone even have noticed or would it have been dismissed as just another symptom?)

I fucking love the interactions. So good and lovely and the best kind of painful.

Eggman refusing to enable this is just. Cherry on the top. He wants to destroy or subjugate the world his own way. Not like this. Never like this. (So I assume, at least.)

So what do all the gods think of Lore learning divine language?

(He could cuss out Demise so good like. Goddesses. He can cuss out in a language he never should have been able to learn. I would not be surprised if it turns out hes like. The kid of a god or a god in the making tbh.)

That said: Lore is trying very hard to never let the gods actually figure out that he learned their language. But if the correct circumstances arose to make him outing himself worth it... then oh yeah. (I do not headcanon Lore to be a demigod, personally. I do think he's roughly five-percent Gerudo, though!)

Personal theory: Geo tried a new outfit and everyone who didn't directly know him immediately assumed he was like 4 years older than he was.

Well I think he definitely looks older, unless outfits can slightly up your eyebrow game. But of course people may interpret things as they like, I've chosen to keep that half of this duo a mystery because I'm not sure how to go about it yet (he is around somewhere though).

You know. Now that Sonic is also wearing inhibitors. The loose chaos energy has likely at least doubled, maybe tripled depending on his ability to attract it.

It sure would be a shame if.

If say rescuing people without much chaos energy in them could be a problem. Or perhaps prolonged exposure?

I wonder how much of a problem it would be, actually? In a crowd it'd probably spread around and be less focused on the nearest person. But extended one on one hangouts...

(Tails. I am talking about Tails. He has narrower channels to begin with and knows what to look for so he'd probably catch on quick but. Oh my god poor Sonic. That's his bro!!!)

(Also I think Tails would absolutely just. Outfit all their friends as a safety measure if it started getting him though. Just. Fuck you nobody else gets hit.)

I could definitely see Tails working to give all his friends some protection just in case. But chaos isn’t really a problem for the average person since they don’t wield it. Sonic’s problem only came to pass because he wielded the emeralds (I don’t remember what part it was but did two part comic about it last week.) So the only way for it to become an issue for Tails or anyone else is if they somehow starts channeling chaos energy through their bodies. Tails has had plenty of exposure but no matter how much chaos is around him, if he doesn’t wield it, he doesn’t have to worry about it hurting him because the connection just isn’t there for it to travel through. It’s a very fun thought though! Sounds like it could make for a delightfully angsty time hglksjdfdsfjf

Out. Out of curiosity. When Realm learns the fairy spell (assuming he doesn't just lost himself around everything requiring it).

How would the others react.

(The other spells are fascinating as well, and have much room for Realm's nonsense but. Now he can fly anywhere with zero sense of direction. More dimensions to get lost in.)

Speck immediately conscripts him into the Ear Stabbing Strategy. "Just lift me," he says. "I'm smaller than a fairy, this'll be so much easier!"

Everyone else is kinda... equal parts amused and confused. On one hand, what a strangely specific spell that is. On the other hand, it is hilarious watching Realm leave a sparkle-trail behind him. It does turn out that the fairy spell lets him see the other fairies in the Chain's life as normal people, which is an unexpected perk! Mask and Ocarina spend a solid forty minutes listening as he describes what Navi looks like to them. Meanwhile, Navi herself is blushing, because it's weird having someone stare at her this closely.

I have like. This intense thought of Realm wandering into other heroes adventures randomly. Probably when facing the final boss because they tend to throw so much magic around. He is there just long enough to be recorded in history then he just vanishes to his next volcano.

I like to think it'd be funny.

You are absolutely right, that would be very funny.

A clarification question though: are these other heroes' adventures limited to the Zelda franchise, or could it be any other adventure? As long as there's enough magic being thrown around, that is?

Would Realm have to lost on purpose?

How bad wouxld it be if it went bad?

Well, hmm. I don't believe it would go very well, at first, because who would believe him? So, it comes to the last resort: actually showing them.

From there, with actual proof, it definitely becomes "we tried to hurt our boy" once the shock wears off.

Realm does not have to get lost on purpose, though he definitely does on accident at least four times. Lore always Lores, regardless of the situation, but he does try to aim for mood-lightening humor this time.

It ends with Dusk giving all the kids rides, because small children are fearless and also it's Link! Of course he's safe!

(If it went bad, though... it'd be something along the lines of "the shapeshifter stole Link's body, how dare" and the well-meant but incredibly unhelpful conclusion that if they kill the shapeshifter, that will set Link free maybe. Trauma all around, honestly.)
