amnesia Stefan, no humanity!Caroline, no humanity!Stefan.

I find them all connected in one thing. which is letting go.

Stefan and Caroline always had those moments that meant much more than friendship but always pushed it away. why? because of the history they share, and that they shouldn't think that way of each other. add to that that one of them is insecure and the other is self-loathing. 

they always had things in mind that made them push any thought away.

then you can see the different in the three side-of-characters above.

amnesia Stefan: You’re much hotter in person. (5x04) amnesia Stefan: *flirts with Caroline* (5x05)

and then you can see all of this disappears when he gets his memories back. (I’m forever salty that we never got Stefan thinking about his behavior around Caroline when he had no memories)

No humanity!Caroline: You should smile more, you’re hot. (6x16)

because this Caroline didn't care any more about how she should act around Stefan, didn't care about hiding her feeling, actually she’s making fun of them now.

and then we got dark!steroline sex because none of them cared about what happens next like they used to care anymore. Caroline isn't insecure, Stefan isn't self-loathing, in fact he loves himself so much when he’s off. they did it when they were off, but they did it because of the many feelings they had when they were on, but pushed it away then. that’s probably my only favorite thing about dark!steroline sex.

stefan was begging tessa to stop giving him his memories back. he didn't want them. he wanted a fresh start, a clean slate and now he's going to go back to feeling all of that pain and it isn't fair. stefan can't go one episode with someone hurting him and it's bullshit. julie and the writers couldn't let him be happy without having to remember everything bad that has happened to him. plus amnesia!stefan was a great storyline and had a lot of potential, but nope julie and these writers always have to go and ruin a good thing.

and once again, The Vampire Diaries drops a seriously intriguing and interesting story line that actually had a lot of potential.

i really love amnesia stefan though. he's not taking shit from anybody and not giving a single fuck.
