Etymology

From Esperanto, "Fluktuas", meaning "to fluctuate"; the "s" was changed to a "z". Originally coined by myself (Gent, GJ) in 2020 on my previous blog, Gender-Resource.

Fluktuaz is a broad label that describes those who have a dynamic relationship with gender expression/alignment/sense of attachment to the label(s) in which ey identify, but always remain the same gender or genders.
Fluktuaz describes:
A static gender (or lack thereof) and/or a gender with a highly reliable, predictable paradigm.
A presentation, expression, alignment and/or sense of attachment that is that changes over time.
...the aforementioned fluidity may flow through one, a few, some, many or all personally-available experiences of gender, explicitly including abinary qualities/alignments/attachments
An unfixed experience in which one expresses/is aligned with/feels connected to gender(s) ey do not identify as.
An experience that is very diverse, often varying greatly between individuals.

Fluktuaz is different than Iactogender in that Fluktuaz specifies the ability to flow through all expressions/alignments/attachments available to the identifier, while Iactogender is limited to conceptions of masculinity, femininity and androgyny.
Pride Flag

The original flag was created by myself (Gent, GJ) at the same time as the term in back 2020 on Gender-Resource. Being entirely inexperienced in vexillography, this flag was poorly-rendered and the colors were not appropriately adjusted, making it very unappealing.
Now, revisting it with slightly more experience, I redesigned the Fluktuaz pride flag. The flag's stripes have the following meanings:
The yellow stripe represents abinary genders & xenogenders.
The burnt orange stripe represents autonomous genders.
The olive green stripe represents neuter, null and neutral genders.
The white portion of the tricolor represents all genders that are accessible within one's experience.
The grey portion of the tricolor represents fluidity, fluctuation and change.
The black portion of the tricolor represents genderlessness.
The desaturated blue stripe represents masculine genders.
The indigo stripe represents midbinary genders.
The fuchsia stripe represents feminine genders.

Flag redesign: Universian
Universian is a gender alignment in the galactian alignment system. It encompasses most if not all other alignments, including singularian. A universian individual may experience all of their alignments at once, or may be fluid among them.
The colors of the original flag aren’t cohesive, and are too bright in my opinion. The symbol is also relatively complicated, so I decided to redesign it. The formatting and colors of the first flag were based off the singularian flag, as I view the two terms as opposite extremes. Having these two terms as the odd ones out flag-wise makes sense to me, but the uniformity of the system’s flags is also very pleasing! Might as well have that option available too :] The second flag is based off the alternate singularian flag, which follows the standardized design of all other alignment flags.
🌌 First flag: The white stripe represents encompassing gender. Purple represents genders related to the binary. Blue represents xenogenders. Teal represents genders that are unrelated to the binary. Green represents the nonbinary nature of the term. The white circle represents the universe in which all gender alignments (or lack thereof) exist.
⭐ Second flag: The blue stripes of the flag represent the varying levels in which individuals can experience being universian. Yellow represents the nonbinary nature of the term. Black represents those who are genderless. The grey represents the varying degrees in which individuals can experience gender.
I picked the blues, green, and white to further highlight the dichotomy of the terms. The (universe) symbol on the second flag represents everythingness, similar to how the (black hole) symbol on the singularian represents nothingness.

❝ AMPIN & AMPINGENDER! ❞
AMPIN: an “in nature” term, meaning amplusian and/or amplusic in nature! ⊹ ⁺
AMPINGENDER: a gender which is AMPIN! ⊹ ⁺
flag/coined by me! requested by anon! these are separate from amplusian itself in the same way that mascgender and MINgender are separate!
