Continuing the #HalfwayToStraturday theme (this time with an added #amplification twist) here's the 2005 #CustomShop '66 #Stratocaster CC with my little 1964 #Fender #Champ #amp. . I have two exciting bits of news to share about this amp: . 1) I have been lucky enough to get my hands on one of the new @atlasstands Mini Low Rider amp stands for this little guy. When I saw that they were making a stand especially for small #amps like this one I knew I had to have one! I already have several full-sized Atlas #ampstands, but this amp is just dwarfed by them. It will be good to have a stand that looks proportional to its diminutive stature. Check out the @atlasstands feed for some shots of the new mini stand...I can't wait until it arrives! . 2) My amp tech @marshalllespaulfan came up with a great idea to get around the perennial issue of the small cabinet + small speaker = small sound that is endemic to most small, lower power #amps. He's making me an RCA to 1/4" adapter plug, so I won't be limited to the 8" speaker and tiny cab on this amp. I'll be able to disconnect the on board speaker and plug it into my Bassman's 2 x 12" cab, for example. THEN we will see just how good a #5F1 Champlifier can sound! 🤩 .
