28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.
in no particular order:
@femmequixotic. i swear to fucking g-d. look. look, this writer has an obscene amount of fics and yet every single one of them is widely or quietly different. that’s really fucking hard to do in fiction, especially when you’re writing for the same pairing over and over again. literally millions upon millions of words, and in every single story, harry and draco are two very different, very unique characters that cannot be confused between other fics femme’s written. it’s obscene how talented this author is, and if you’re a fan of drarry, check femme out.
@sabrecmc. the characterisation with sabre’s fics is ridiculous, i swear. i’d be jealous if i wasn’t so damn impressed. characterisation is so important when you’re doing fanfic (unless your goal is ooc characters, which is perfectly valid), and how sabre writes characters -- specifically tony stark -- is utterly ridiculous. plus sabre is a huge fan of encouraging other writers, pushing for reblogs/likes and comments on people’s content, and is generally an amazing human being. if i’m being perfectly honest, sabre scares the ever-loving shit out of me for so many reasons.
@everybodyilovedies. environment is crazy important with fic, be it au fics or canonical bits. amuly creates the richest of environments, regardless of fandom and pairing, and you get sucked into the story like it’s literally something you’re living in. that’s a powerful gift for an author, and i’m in awe of amuly’s talent in this regard. also?? spot-fuckin-on with characterisation too, it’s ridiculous.
