It’d been more than a day now, and yet the triumphant words still rung within the Warsfiel child’s mind.
Examination complete. That was exactly as she’d expected it to be. While it would be unfair to say Yuuko had greatly overpowered her opponent in battle, it would also be unfair to say that the young girl had felt a great deal of challenge from the fight presented in her final exam. Despite that, she couldn’t help but feel proud of the accomplishment, after having put so much time and effort into making sure she would have enough skill to pass. With this completion, she had earned her purpose- A purpose she had long sought after.
Keeping composure was no challenge for her, seeing as Yuu didn’t often look particularly expressive or emotional by default, but internally, she had become plenty anxious at the thought of formally meeting the Commanding Officer whom she’d be serving as Cadet Beglieter for. While she hadn’t been aware of who he’d been when going through the exams, the girl had spied the high ranking officer watching over the Beglieter Exams, and had been internally awed by his presence - Even without knowing who he was, Yuuko could tell with ease that the person she’d seen was of great importance.
A middle tier officer had escorted her to her temporary Commander’s office, and informed them both of each other’s names and Ranks before being dismissed to do whatever it was his job was supposed to be and left the two of them alone. There was an momentary but intense silence before the girl addressed her superior, managing to somehow keep her composure, unflinching and unperturbed as she gave him a well-mannered dip of the head. “It’s an honor and privilege to be assigned as you Cadet Beglieter, Chief of Staff Ayanami and I hope my services will meet the caliber of your expectations."
