H2An: Just Add Water

Youtube reminded me of this TOP TIER song, and I remembered how much I use to love the show, H2O: Just Add Water, so I thought, how about a new AU!!

In this AU, Peach Creek is a beach town, the girls hang out there all the time, An would surf, Ann also known as Double-N would study the marine life and minerals and Anny loved to soak up the sun. One day the girls take a boat to an island to hide from the Kankers, but while exploring, they slip into a hidden underground cave, with no way back up, they go deeper, hoping to find a way out.
Hours later, they find a pool of water that is under an opening to look at the stars, with no other way, they all go into the pool in hope it will exit out of the cave, but while they are in the water, the moon happens to be directly overhead, the water seems to glow and bubble, even bubble float up, not even Double-N knows what is happening. So, they quickly dive underwater and swim through the opening, and thankfully a rescue boat was actually looking for them, since it had gotten so late.
Everything seemed fine as they got home, after a bit of scolding from their parents about going to an island without letting anyone know, the girls went to bed, believing all fine. But they soon learn all is not normal, when each get in contact with water, a transformation happens. They turn into mermaids!! An turns while she goes out to surf, Double-N turns while she went to take a shower, and Anny turns when she puts her feet into her foot spa trying to relax.
The girls are shocked....well An thinks it one of the coolest things ever. After they dry off, get the legs and regular clothes back, the girls meet up and confirm it all happened to them. Now they must learn how to go through life and learn all about their new abilities without anyone finding out. Which can be pretty tricking with 3 overzealous boys often following them around.

It been so long since I have watched H2O so I can't do much more. I remember other girls also became mermaids in the show so maybe Jenny, Karen and Rachel would become one as well. I could see Karen being the Zane, bullies the girls, but when she is saved by a mysterious sea creature, aka Anny, she starts to do everything she can to uncover what or who saved her.

I will say I remember the EP where the girls get trapped in the pool by a scientist hired by Zane or something like that. I think in my AU the story would follow that with Karen hiring a scientist, but only two of the Ans get caught, maybe An and Double N, with Anny getting away. With her friends now caught Anny seeks help from the only people she knows who will help her and her friends, no questions asked, the Kankers, which would be how they find out about the mermaid secret. And back at the pool, Karen learns about Ans, that Anny was the one who saved her all along and starts to regret hiring the scientist, who now only sees the Ans as research materials and not people.

I hope you all enjoy this AU! If I ever do a rewatch of H20, maybe I'll add more one day, but that won't be for a good while, if ever.
