for the first time i am truly experiencing the generation gap between social media au fics made 5-10 years ago vs the ones that are made within the past year... the kids are communicating via ig notes. no subtwting no full text post shading, just pure conversations via ig notes and ig dms? i guess???

so I’m not really a Mr docm77 watcher despite liking all his antics. As we can tell from my blog I tend to mainly watch grian as well as etho and keralis but really mainly grian.

Heard he had a sky block thing posted and was curious so I checked out his channel.

The notion of the ‘fandom bicycle’ - that is, people condemning a large portion of a fandom for a given character being shipped with many different people - is baffling to me. 

Like, the people who get pissy about it are usually considering it like... objectifying or sexist or something, but it’s like... it’s such a weird fucking way to look at a character’s shipability? It’s a weird af line of attack.

But it just - what does it even mean. It’s like slut-shaming combined with fandom policing and then.... worse.
