Another way TBB S3 was disappointing to me: Crosshair's redemption arc goes into how loyalty is one of his big motivators, yet Tech's loyalty to him when he insisted they go after Crosshair and subsequently was lost on that same mission is NOT ONCE BROUGHT UP.
The number of ways the emotional impact of Tech's death is just flat out ignored is really grating to me and it's why I struggle to enjoy the season at all. Not even just his absence--though ofc that sucks too--but that his absence is only felt as a series of missing skills and in random asides. Where's Crosshair feeling especially raw over the fact that the moment Tech knew Cross was still loyal to them he was ready to come and fetch him, and died trying?
Never not going to be bitter about all the emotional beats which were thoroughly and completely ignored.
King of Hearts AU Bonus Info 2
More stuff about the AU that I wanted to cover! Steve thinks of Hunter as a little brother and was missing Matty pretty hardcore when he gave Hunter his hoodie (can be seen in the mindscape!!) I like to think Hunter had it in the main universe too, just wasn’t wearing it because it’s not dress code. However, in this universe that happened right before Hunter walked in on Belos talking to Collector so he got possessed while wearing it. The hoodie got damaged when Belos attacked him, Collector repaired it (with modifications). Matty and Hunter get along but there’s a bit of jealousy over the hoodie.
The rebels tried to save Hunter/ defeat Collector seven years ago. This was before it was obvious that Hunter was ok with being possessed and before they knew the Collector wasn’t going to kill people. Collector/Hunter’s fear was a good thing for Belos. They destroyed/buried evidence of Belos’s genocide plan, partially so he couldn’t go back to it, partially because they thought everyone would hate them. What happened/where the Collector came from is currently still a mystery to most people. Hunter/the Collector was upset about the rebels trying to defeat them for a week or two and then forgot it happened at all.
Hunter and Collector mellow each other out quite a bit. Hunter is pretty empathetic and more mature, while the Collector brings out their playfulness. Their worst traits also show up. Both of them are possessive, avoid difficult thoughts/conversations, and are scared. Both of them like Belos and both of them were abused by him, so they struggle to keep him out of their life. I think they’re scared of him, they know he’s bad, but they want him to be a good person which is ultimately not something they can make happen. Collector is less forgiving in this AU because when they possessed Hunter, they suddenly understood death and theyre very upset about Belos lying to them / are avoiding having a conversation about what Belos put them through.
so sad that when bad guys get redeemed they lose their bitchiness... Every time a redeemed villain loses their bitchiness, an angel drops like a fly
Hello Hellsite Detective.
I have been looking for a post that occasionally crosses my dash, yet when I have consulted Google, I cannot seem to find it.
The post in question is something along the lines of "torture the blonde man" and that's about it.
Thanks in advance!

Something that gets me about the owl house finale is how Willow and Hunter weren't (to my knowledge/recollection) *explicitly* confirmed as canon?? Just "subtle hints" like the hand holding and smiling and blushing and being kinda awkward around each other but always hanging out. Meanwhile Luz and Amity can't keep their mouths off each other and use the word "girlfriend" like four times a sentence
It feels like the exact polar opposite of how this usually goes, with Main Boy And Main Girl being in love beyond any reasonable doubt while the writers have to try their hardest to cram in as many eyebrow waggles at a background gay romance that can still be ignored or explained away
currently thinking of a slutty little man with his slutty battle scars and that slutty little rasp and his slutty buff arms and his slutty waist and-
