a couple weeks ago I did a post on how crazy camp Jupiter's existence is as like a child soldier military camp and its crazy I stand by that.

but its time to get into the Jason grace of it all

bro was given up to Lupa - to JUNO - at TWO YEARS OLD! I have 2yos I work with still in nappies but what? he spends a year training with wolves and is deemed strong enough to go to CJ? Who then brands him into their cult by age 3????

Like he had 12 stripes on his arm in TLH??? He was 15? he wouldve earned his 13th on his 16th birthday most likely (if im remembering correctly that its done on their birthdays) like that's a ridiculous amount of time to be in the legion before you even turn 18.

Also when would he have had time to learn anything? he couldn't have possibly been doing school AND legion stuff??? HE WASNT EVEN OLD ENOUGH FOR SCHOOL WHEN HE STARTED

Like can he read? did he ever learn how to? can he do any maths beyond basic addition and subtraction? beyond basic order of operations? I'm sure there's some cult-y history lessons all CJ demigods are forced to go through but that's likely only about ancient roman stuff. maybe some latin classes like chb

but like did someone give Jason the talk??? I somehow doubt camp Jupiter had a sex ed program (although they should since they employ [without pay] like a million teenagers)

Like he could have retired to new Rome when he was 13!!! they have a 10 year mandatory service before retirement. pro could have been done before the 1st titan war even started getting heated.

ALSO he was already praetor at 15? This one I went into in a bit more depth I think because he wouldve been campaigning to be praetor at 14 if not earlier!

And then we get to the canon timeline!

because CJ didn't look for him? Marked him as a traitor (graecus) in the same breath they raised percy up on the shield to be praetor (the ACTUAL graecus)

And like hes given to Juno, so Juno believes hes hers to do with as she likes, which is at least half why she chose him to do the demigod exchange program and takes his memories, AND THEN HE BARELY HAS ANY OF THEM BACK EVEN 9 MONTHS LATER

and then he actually falls in love with piper but she never actually loved him which isn't her fault again JUNO and its not Jason's either but I still feel so bad

and then hes doing something he actually feels like he has a purpose in - the pontifex Maximus temple building stuff, and yet he goes to help Apollo on his quest. AND DIES BECAUSE OF IT

and unlike Thalia, zeus/jupiter doesn't save him and he DIES on a BEACH where percy wouldve survived. and I just-

I think we need a Sam and Van crossover fic where it ends up they’re both falling in love with y/n 😏 but she has to pick and they’re trying to win her over

I feel like I've walked myself into this corner by being the one who writes the slow emotionally torturous fics because like, this sounds like such a good idea, and I wanna write it so so bad, but its going to be so painful haha

My APD, the only person in residency leadership who I trust implicitly, who I have very frank conversations about my mental health on a regular basis, just got promoted into a leadership position. He’s PCSing in the next month. Words can’t really describe how devastated I am. I loved the PD we had when I came into residency. Loved him, trusted him, felt that I could have honest conversations with him. I have none of the same feelings about my current PD. I trust him only a limited amount. I have no desire to talk to him or work with him on anything even semi important or personal, so my APD was my go-to person in leadership. And he was also very kind and willing to listen and take time and engage with me. It took me a long time to be able to trust him like that, and now I’m really sad that I’ll have to really work to create another supportive relationship like that for my last year and a half of residency.
