I think I’m going to start telling people I’m 80. It’s the only logical solution to all of my problems:

I’m terrible at using Zoom (and I hate it), but if you’re old you get a free pass because it’s hard to learn new technology

I use a cane and need to use the disabled seats on the bus when it’s crowded, and if you’re old no one questions things like that or thinks you’re faking

My beard is half brown and half white, which is weird when you’re 23 but totally normal if you’re an old man

Technically if I’m always wearing a mask/don’t post photos of myself anywhere, there’s no way anyone can tell I’m not 80 years old. I certainly dress the part, and my writing can come across a little old-fashioned at times. This might actually work.
