A College WinterFalcon AU: Where Sam and Steve are roommates and Steve is always telling Sam about how suave and cool Bucky was growing up. He even tells Sam about the time Bucky talked his way out of getting expelled in highschool even though the principle himself saw Bucky throw a desk at a teacher...A TEACHER! Sam is super excited to meet this charming man but unfortunately he doesn't live up to his expectations... Like at all.

During their first meeting, while Steve is introducing them, Sam compliments Bucky's hair and:

Sam: Hey man, not many people can rock the messy bun but you make it work.

Bucky: Th-thanks broraroni, would you like some???!?!?

Yes, Bucky offered his hair to Sam. He has no idea why he said that. What he meant to say was, "Thanks, it's pretty soft too. You can feel it any time you want."

Needless to say the day was rough. Bucky spilled coffee on himself, Sam, Steve, and the barista. He offered to show Sam his "Quarter Collection" which he sorted by date and how shiny they were (yes, he said those exact words). While walking in the park he tripped and fell because his shoes were untied.

To top everything off, when Sam had to leave for his afternoon class:

Sam: Well, I'd like to hangout with you guys more but i have to head off to class. *puts his hand out for Bucky to shake* it was nice meeting you.

Bucky: *with the sweatiest hands known to man, shakes Sam's hand* Nice to meet you too, Buckaroo. Ha! My name is Bucky... Thats uh..kinda funny!! Hahaha! Wow my hands are sweaty! You should feel my armpits though!! Do you have any deodorant recommendations???!

Once Sam leaves Bucky reverts back to himself but the damage is already done and Steve's got questions. Lots of 'em.

Bonus: When Sam starts to like Bucky back, instead of rambling, he just stares at Bucky sometimes with the softest eyes and says the first them to come to mind and that just throws Bucky all the way off.
