god. what a good book

#i have not even finished the first book yet and based on other events i am BEGGING for jean's safety #but like. from very early on i was like oh. jean. i see you.#and MAN.#anyway this audiobook is a million years long and since I'm moving I'm only listening to it on drives or while un/packing #(the drives are three hours each way but still)#but i STILL have nearly six hours to go??? what the fuck???#how much more can you fit into this story holy hell. i will need to reread for things i inevitably missed.#the lies of locke lamora #IMMEDIATE EDIT: THE ONLY THING STOPPING YOU FROM KISSING HIM IS THE MUCK???#anyway. surprised as hell to come out of this book with a new set of yaoi glasses but here we are i guess.

just finished watching warehouse 13 all the way thru for the first time honest review:

WHAT #I JUST #my posts #i'm okay but like. man #this show somehow ended up like Librarians where i was on such a ball i coulda gone 4 more seasons happily #man.#warehouse 13 #anyways yeah it's just. i watched it when it was airing and didn't care for it thought I'd try again cause well. i wanted more librarians #and MAN.

thinking about how, before she met gloreth, nimona spent who knows how long wandering the world and trying to find company amongst animals, but always being rejected. we have no idea how long she was at it- she appears to be immortal, she could've been trying to find companionship since the beginning of time for all we know.

#nimona #and man.#she finds a friend in gloreth but then she's rejected and seen as a monster!#we don't know exactly what she does for the next 1000 years #but imagine her watching the institute rise #seeing her former friend creating an entire order of knights to kill her and anyone similar #seeing how the walls come up and how the city is tightly controlled #knowing all this cruelty and hatred came from her just trying to find friendship #AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

distracting yourself from the deep and profound longing for love and human connection works really well until one thing makes a tiny crack in the dam and oops

#was watching someone talk about phantasmagoria 2 #and there’s a whole thing where the protagonist is in love with his male best friend #who is also by far the best character in the game and also gay and also in love with him #and man.#i really want to not be spending my life in a freezing cold dark room alone #game is cool though #unfortunately the friend does die but so does like 95% of the cast of the game #in a vacuum it’s not terrible and evil and fucked up that the gay guy dies and whatnot #but with how frequent it is that the gays must die or make some ultimate sacrifice or just not have their relationships work ou #i personally couldn’t write something that ends like that #i need gay love to overcome everything and save the world #i also need gay love period.#where are the lovable sappy romantics

kane for once was joking. he was always lying but now he was joking. a complete kane was a dream, was a nightmare. i remember all the chats with him. the all of him. the sadness of a case unsolved, a detectives work failing. the sadness of lapping waves on a rowboat. he sat by my side and rowed with me.

#i really treasure how complicated their relationship is.#this friendship. this partnership.#where they work and live together and KNOW each other so well but also have lost pieces along the way and are each others kinda only friend #in a way #because they got stuck in an eldritch town for a year or two #and man.#i just. im going to be so sad when the show finishes #but also. i know it'll have a good ending (note i did not say happy lmao)#i know it'll be well written and satisfying even if its tragic #and im very excited to (someday) see what the creators end up doing for this final season.#i am so patient. so patient. look at me being perfectly patient #kane and feels #WHEN
