being surprised when the HOTTEST girl you’ve ever seen opens the door instead. but also being so confused cause you could’ve sworn ellie was supposed to be there.
“oh! um,sorry! i’m ellie’s friend is she not home?”
“she isn’t but you’re welcome to come inside to wait for her- she’s told me a lot about you.”
ellie just so casually being out to lunch with dina after texting you to be there at a time she knew they wouldn’t be back by.
an hour, two, and then somehow three hours had passed talking with the blonde. you didn’t even remember to send ellie that angry text you had typed out. something about manners and being on time.
ellie finally coming back home to see you and her roommate basically cuddling on the couch. the two of you sitting down across from each other and making such intense eye contact ellie has to stop herself from cringing at the cuteness of it all.

“ellie what the fuck man i’ve been here since 4pm what happened?” you scolded her.
“yeah, sorry dina and i got held up.”
“you were out with di-” you almost threw a pillow at her. ellie was always doing something stupid- (like wasting your time on purpose.) she just thought it was the funniest thing.

literally running out of ellie’s new apartment because you swore that staying there any longer would result in 1.) hurting ellie or 2.) confessing your love to the blonde whom you had just met.
everyone saying their goodbyes and abby walking to the door telling you about how nice it was to meet you. closing the door and immediately turning around, “ellie. please tell me your friend is single”
“she is you big loser and i just sent you her phone number. don’t fuck this up i love her like a sister, you understand?”
“thank you, thank you, thank you” abby repeated like she was a kid who was just given the best of candies. running off to her room and slamming the door by accident in the process, just being so excited. she had never met anyone like you and she was sure this is what love at first sight was.
and you on the other hand had texted ellie immediately, “els, pls tell me your roommate is gay.🙏🏽”
ellie rolling her eyes before texting a, “immensely. i gave her your number already” and she smiled to herself because her plan had worked.
the two of you were perfect for each other, she just knew it.
